Listen to this chapter:

Yvette said, "Bullying you? You might not know the extent of my bullying. Those I bully meet one of two fates: death or a living hell worse than death. If you wish to experience it, I wouldn't mind fulfilling that wish. That fainting was fake; a counterfeit can never become genuine. However, you're quite bold. This painting has been on the Mysonna black market for years. Do you know why no one dares buy it? The forger was brutally beaten, their hands and feet broken, and left to be devoured by wild wolves in a desolate wilderness."

A shudder rippled through the crowd. Yvette's vivid description felt almost real, prompting an instinctive recoil. Doubt about the painting's authenticity began to spread.

Yvette remained unfazed, resting her chin on her hand and glancing casually at a distant Nellie with a faint smile. "One more thing: it's premature to mention being half-siblings."

The others ignored this remark, but Zachary and Nellieโ€™s expressions shifted noticeably. Nellie felt a chill, her mind racing, consumed by the possibility that Yvette had discovered something. Zachary, noticing her pallor, lowered his head in thought.

Winona's disbelief morphed into shock and uncontrollable trembling as she realized Yvette knew she'd bought the painting on the Mysonna black market. A sudden idea struck her. So what if Yvette revealed its origin? As long as she denied it, who could prove it was fake? Crescent Moon, Cyanbird, hadn't released new works. Only Travis, their agent in Mysonna, had met Cyanbird, and no one present had his contact information.

Feigning outrage, Winona exclaimed, "Yvie, I don't understand! What black market? If you want to frame me, why use such a ridiculous excuse? Mr. Langford is here! You can't just throw accusations..." Her voice trailed off, her eyes drifting to Wyatt.

Wyatt casually lifted his head, feigning ignorance. "Hmm? What's going on? Weren't we discussing the painting? Sorry, official business. Where were we?" He waved his phone, seemingly confirming his claim.

A collective thought echoed through the room: We believe Mr. Langford. Please don't treat us like fools.

Wyatt ignored their reactions. Seeing Jeremiah's satisfied expression, he knew he'd played his part well. He returned to his โ€œofficial business.โ€ Winona was furious but dared not speak out; she couldn't afford to offend Wyatt. Instead, she addressed Yvette sternly, "Yvie, if you claim this painting is fake, provide evidence, or I won't tolerate this!" She was certain Yvette had none, believing the forger was dead.

"I am the evidence," Cole announced, stepping forward towards Yvette. Awkwardly, he stammered, "Cyanbird... I'm Cole Paben. Hello, nice to see you again."

Stunned silence followed. Cold-calling Yvette Cyanbird? The internationally renowned, enigmatic painter, whose single works commanded $30 million? Unbelievable! But why would Paben lie?

Zachary, Richard, Nellie, Robert, Victor, and Zeke stood dumbfounded. Winona found the revelation the most unacceptable, preferring the end of the world to accepting Yvette as Cyanbird.

Yvette raised an eyebrow, her eyes conveying a touch of coldness and mischief. With a casual smile, she said, "Yeah, it's been a while. You've aged; hasn't Mr. Harrington been taking good care of you?"

Cole scratched his head sheepishly. "He's been very kind, but... he's been ill, hospitalized for some time." His voice was subdued; Thomas was critically ill, with little time left.

The revelation that Yvette had indirectly confirmed her identity as Cyanbird sent shockwaves through the room. The Chambers family child, missing for twenty years, was Cyanbird? This was monumental news. Those present quickly grasped the implication: if Yvette was Cyanbird, Winonaโ€™s painting was a fake.

Jeremiah, while surprised, wasn't as shocked as the others. He wondered just how much more of Yvette's secrets he didn't know. He'd even bid on Cyanbird's paintings before. Simon, too, was surprised but not entirely shocked. Richard, however, whispered to Winona, helping her formulate a new defense.

Winona declared, "Mr. Paben, stop colluding with Yvie! Everyone knows she grew up in the countryside. How could she be Cyanbird? We don't believe you without Travis Rojasโ€™s confirmation!"

Doubt resurfaced. After all, no one had ever seen Cyanbird; it was always the agent. Cole's statement wasn't enough.

The group split, some siding with Winona and Richard, others with Yvette and Cole. Then Sienna stepped forward. "Finding Travis is easy," she said, producing her phone. "I have his contact information. Let's video call him."

Panic washed over Winona. Sheโ€™d forgotten Sienna's Mysonna connections. Richard's face darkened; he already believed Cole. He understood the predicament he'd put himself in.

Sienna dialed Travis. A young man appeared on screen, speaking flawless Clusian. Before Sienna could speak, Winona interrupted, "Mr. Rojas, someone's impersonating Cyanbird. Can you confirm?"

Travis roared, "Who dares impersonate my goddess?! Step forward!"

Sienna smirked, directing the camera at Yvette. Travis fell silent, eyes wide. He bowed, swallowing hard. "Ti... Cyanbird."
