Listen to this chapter:

Yvette lightly touched her phone to answer the call. Nathan's voice was concise and direct: “This is Nathan. I’m outside the villa. Can you let me in to see Sienna? There’s a misunderstanding, and I want to clarify things face-to-face.”

Yvette raised an eyebrow, smirked slightly, lowered her gaze, and glanced at her watch. “I don’t have time,” she said dully.

Outside, Nathan’s face fell as he stared at the distant villa, a conflicted expression etched upon his features. The villa's owner was someone the Goodman family couldn't trace, even in Mysonna. This person's power and background were truly intimidating. He paused, about to speak again, when Yvette ended the call.

Nathan was taken aback. Yvette, as wild as ever, never knew when to hold back.

Inside, Yvette sat slouched on the couch, legs crossed, casually swinging her phone. She glanced lazily at Sienna. “Nathan called. He’s outside and wants to see you.”

Sienna hesitated, her face conflicted. Avoiding him wasn't a solution; it was better to talk face-to-face. Looking at Yvette with determination, she said, “Yve, sooner or later I have to face Nathan. It’s perfect he’s here now. I’ll clear things up. I can’t keep hiding under your wings forever. Let him in.”

Yvette shifted comfortably, her gaze calm. “Have you made up your mind?”

Sienna nodded seriously. “I’m sure, Yve. Let him in.”

Yvette casually agreed, “Okay,” then dialed Nathan’s number.

Outside, Nathan considered his options. Barging in was unthinkable; with Yvette’s personality, he’d be lucky to escape alive. But leaving meant risking Sienna being hidden by Yvette. As he got into his car, his phone rang. Overjoyed, he answered, “Hello, L…” before Yvette cut him off: “Come in.”

Inside, Frankie turned stiffly to Yvette and Sienna, disbelief etched on his face. “Nathan? That name sounds familiar. Could it be the Nathan from the Goodman family?”

Sienna, oblivious to Frankie’s reaction, nodded. “Yeah, it’s him. Why? Do you know him?”

Frankie gritted his teeth, a grimace replacing a smile. “I don’t know him. How could I possibly know a man so selfish, insidious, and adept at scheming and trickery?”

Sienna felt a chill. Frankie’s denial, coupled with his expression, suggested a fervent wish for Nathan’s disappearance.

Yvette glanced at Frankie’s hateful expression, her refined eyebrows betraying a carefree attitude.

As Nathan entered, he saw Yvette sprawled on the couch, Sienna beside her, and a trendy man eyeing him suspiciously. He frowned, wondering if he’d offended him. Sienna ignored him, peeling an apple for Yvette.

A pang of envy struck Nathan. He’d been with Sienna for so long, and she’d never peeled an apple for him. He never expected his rival to be Yvette.

Nathan entered the living room and sat silently, clearing his throat before addressing Sienna, then turning to Yvette. “Yvette, it’s been a while,” he smiled.

Yvette glanced up briefly from her game, her expression cold and distant. She returned to her game, ignoring him completely.

Frankie, at the side, nearly clapped with delight. Yvette was amazing; the Goodman family meant nothing.

Sienna nervously pressed her lips together. Knowing Nathan’s temper, she worried Yvette’s attitude would enrage him. She quickly sat beside Yvette, blocking Nathan’s view, her expression guarded.

Nathan offered a bitter smile at Sienna’s wariness. Even the head of the Goodman family wouldn't dare act superior to Yvette.

“Sienna, it’s not what it seems. My fiancée was chosen by my grandfather, and I disagree. I’ll break off the engagement and marry you. I understand your concerns, and I won’t get involved in the family’s secret dealings. My grandfather divided duties between Braydon and me five years ago; I handle legitimate business, Braydon the covert operations. What you saw was an accident; it won’t happen again. I swear. Even if you don’t think of me, think of the baby. Do you want him born without a father?”

Sienna froze, glancing secretly at Yvette, who was engrossed in her game. She felt guilty. Yvette’s fingers hesitated, but she continued playing.

Frankie silently cursed Nathan’s shamelessness, using the baby to keep Sienna.

Nathan’s manipulation was impressive. Sienna’s expression wavered before she looked up.

“Nathan, I asked you in to make things clear. I’m serious about breaking up, and I hope we part on good terms. As for the baby, I’ll have it—your genes are decent. Don’t worry. The child and I won’t appear in your life, and who you marry is none of my business. Likewise, I hope you don’t appear in front of us. Let’s go our separate ways. And if you don’t mind, I might even send you a wedding invitation.”

Sienna’s voice softened, revealing her true feelings.

Nathan’s face fell; his eyes flashed with anger. She plans to marry someone else? Find another father for my child? he thought. Who in Mysonna dares marry my woman and the mother of my child!

Frankie wanted to cheer for Sienna. It was best she drove Nathan crazy. Even Nathan sensed Frankie’s mischievous satisfaction.

Nathan controlled his anger. After a while, he said, “Sienna, stop being stubborn. What you’re saying makes no sense. In Mysonna, who would dare take my woman?” He glanced at Yvette, worried she might undermine him.

Sienna shook her head, resolute. “If you insist, I’ll stay single. It’s no big deal. You know I own a third of Vibe’s shares. I’m rich and good-looking. Raising a child alone is no problem. In fact, I’d have suitors lining up from Mysonna to Clusia. So you can’t stop me.”

Frankie jumped up from the couch.
