Listen to this chapter:

Andrew took a step forward. "Should we go after him? His nameโ€ฆ Jason Wilson? No, Jason Davis."

Zane immediately added, "Mr. Chavez, Ms. Zeller, I'll send people to look into Jason now. If he's still in Seacrity, finding him shouldn't be difficult. We'll capture him immediately upon locating him."

Jeremiah nodded, glancing at Yvette. "Are you hungry?"

Yvette smiled faintly. "Okay, let's have steak."

Jeremiah smiled and agreed. "Sure. The place near the school again? I'll order milkshakes. Extra sugar and cream?"

Andrew's mouth twitched, his tone dripping with sarcasm. "Don't you feel sorry for us, Jeremiah?"

Wyatt and Zane remained silent, observing the situation.

Jeremiah, holding Yvette's hand, walked toward the door, his expression indifferent. "Not really."

Andrew muttered to himself, 'Fine. I knew he wouldn't feel sorry for us.'

Yvette paused, turning to the three men. "Do you want to come with us?"

Zane and Wyatt answered in unison, "No need."

Jeremiah was speechless.

Andrew jogged up, dramatically pointing at Jeremiah. "I know you're the best, Yvette. Look at himโ€”he doesn't even want to bring me for steak! Anyway, I won't eat more than you can afford."

Yvette glanced at Andrew casually. "I was asking them, not you."

Andrew felt extremely upset.

Zane patted Andrew reassuringly. "Mr. Chavez just thinks you're disturbing them, Andrew."

As soon as Yvette, Jeremiah, and Andrew entered the steakhouse, they caused a stir. Most eyes turned toward Yvette. The restaurant was filled with Argrol University students, almost all of whom knew her. Even the most unaware students recognized her; within a month of transferring, she'd been involved in numerous noteworthy incidents. After a two-week absence, online forums buzzed with anticipation for her return.

Her sudden appearance prompted several students to snap photos and post them online, where they quickly rose to the top of the forums. Within ten minutes, hundreds of comments flooded in, praising her beauty and career.

Is my goddess back? Finally! I miss her so much!

She still has that stunning beauty! I love that indifferent look! But seriously, those sneaky shots are terrible.

Hey, the shots are still pretty good!

Letโ€™s be clear, this isnโ€™t just good; sheโ€™s absolutely attractive!

Youโ€™re quite good at flattering.

This legendary is finally back! Do you guys think she was off at some international art exhibit or something? Sheโ€™s been gone so long. She must have something amazing to show us!

Now youโ€™ve got everyone excited!

Bonnie, feeling dejected after her scholarship was unexpectedly canceled, spotted Zachary being carried from an ambulance at Seacrity Hospital. She immediately contacted Yvette. Checking her phone, she received a message: [Iโ€™m at the steakhouse near the school.]

Cheered, Bonnie headed to the steakhouse.

In the private room, Jeremiah had ordered his usual dish, while Yvette had three milkshakes: strawberry, cantaloupe, and mango. Andrew felt nauseous just looking at them.

Yvette lounged, sipping her cantaloupe milkshake and playing with her phone. With a playful defiance, she said, "Bonnie will be joining us."

Jeremiah remained silent, but Andrew's excitement was evident.

Jeremiah glanced at Andrew and joked, "You seem very happy."

Andrew nodded vigorously. "I'm bored. Having her will make me feel much better."

Jeremiah, with a blank face, cut Yvette's steak. Just as Yvette was about to put away her phone, she received a message from Simon: [Someone posted photos of you being at the steakhouse on the forum. When are you coming back to class?].

She replied, "[The day after tomorrow.]"

Simon responded, "[Okay, come to the office when youโ€™re back.]"

Yvette texted, "[Okay.]"

In his office, Simon logged out of the university forum before texting someone in Betrico. James, who had been contacting him daily about Yvetteโ€™s whereabouts during her absence, could finally be reassured.

Bonnie, upon entering and spotting Yvette, rushed past Andrew. "You're back, Yvette! I missed you so much!"

Jeremiah glanced at Bonnie, who was tugging at Yvette's shirt, but said nothing.

Yvette rubbed Bonnie's head, smiling. "Take a seat. I ordered your favorite dish."

Bonnie sat next to Yvette, then turned to Jeremiah. "Hi, Jeremiah."

Andrew, feeling left out, cleared his throat. "Didn't you see such a charming guy like me, Bonnie?"

Bonnie gave him a quick look of disdain. "I see you, but I don't think you're as charming as you said."

Their banter resumed its familiar rhythm.
