Listen to this chapter:

Yvette casually curled her lips, shifting her waist slightly. Jeremiah's breath quickened. "Don't move," he cautioned, "or you'll face the consequences."

Yvette lifted his chin. Jeremiah grasped her hand, repositioning himself above her. He leaned down, burying his face in her neck, biting gently while his other hand clasped her waist. His voice, low and hoarse, held an undeniable reverence. "I love you."

Yvette met his gaze in the darkness, but remained silent.

Jeremiah leaned down again, trailing his lips along her collarbone, leaving a trail of crimson marks.

At nine o'clock that morning, at Betrico Airport, Jeremiah watched Yvette, his blue eyes narrowing. "I'll head to Seacrity after I finish here," he murmured.

Yvette nodded slowly. "Okay."

Behind them, Samantha, Andrew, and Charles subtly averted their gaze. Jeremiah was in an exceptionally good mood; he'd even made a special breakfast for Yvette and brought portions for them—an unprecedented act of generosity. His spring-like demeanor toward them left them flustered and speechless.

Samantha, clutching her limited-edition handbag, sighed. "Don't you think something's subtly changed between Yvette and Jeremiah? I can't quite place it, but something's different."

Charles, also returning to Seacrity with Yvette, adjusted his glasses. "I didn't notice anything," he replied flatly. He'd already completed his paperwork and was enrolling directly.

Andrew, who had also booked a ticket to Seacrity, stroked his chin. "Sis, I have the same feeling. Twin telepathy?"

Samantha looked at Andrew. "This time, bring your girlfriend back with you, or don't bother returning."

Andrew vowed confidently, "Don't worry, Sis. I'll bring her back."

After further conversation, it was time to board. Jeremiah and Samantha watched the three depart, then went their separate ways.

More than two months later, Yvette returned to Seacrity. Only Simon knew of her arrival and met her at the airport. Yvette wore a baseball cap, black mask, and casual sportswear; Charles, a white shirt and suit pants; Andrew, a black jacket and Martin boots.

The three drew considerable attention. Many admiring glances lingered on Andrew and Charles, and several girls attempted to get their contact information, but both declined.

As they exited the airport, they saw Simon beside a black car. His eyes lit up as he waved to Yvette. "Over here, Grand-aunt!"

His shout caused a stir. Yvette's name had recently become incredibly popular; even young children knew it. Her competition had dominated major video websites and search trends nationwide.

Simon immediately regretted his outburst, realizing Yvette's current status. She was now an idol.

Yvette walked calmly toward Simon. Andrew whispered to Charles, "Bro, that's the principal of Apex Urban University. Look at her status—he personally picked her up."

Charles remained indifferent. This isn't unusual. When the principal of Mysonna First Academy offered me a professorship, I didn't chase after him. This is nothing special.

Yvette removed her cap, a few strands of brown hair escaping. "Hello, Principal," she said.

Simon smiled. "Thank you, Grand-aunt." He'd known from their first meeting that Yvette was exceptional. Her recent achievements had thrilled him. This kid didn't disappoint! He was particularly shocked to learn she was James Dean's granddaughter. That meant endless resources and prestige. Even if she didn't care, it's enviable.

Suddenly, exclamations erupted. A woman, clutching a red suitcase, gasped, "Oh my god, it's the goddess! She's..."

Everyone turned to Yvette.

"It's really her! She's back!"

"She's even more beautiful in person!"

"Are you sure it's her?"

"Absolutely! No one else has a face like hers!"

Simon quickly said, "Let's go, Grand-aunt. We'll talk on the way." He hadn't anticipated her immediate recognition.

They looked in the rearview mirror as they drove away; people still watched their car.

Simon, having volunteered to pick her up, felt momentarily speechless. He glanced at Andrew and Charles. I know Andrew. The other man must be someone Yvette recommended. But his resume...a top graduate from the First Academy...he could easily be a professor at Apex Urban. Overqualified for a student.

Charles remained calm despite Simon's scrutiny.

Andrew broke the silence. "Principal, have you considered a raise?"

Simon thought, A raise now? Giving a raise to this guy? Our school's broke!
