When they reached the car, Samantha immediately released Janice's hand, climbed into Emmett and Charles's car, and swiftly shut the door. The car sped away, leaving Andrew, looking dejected, Janice, struggling to hide her resentment, and Bonnie, appearing confused, standing at the entrance to Dungo Village.

Andrew turned and said weakly, "Get in the car. Let's follow Jeremiah's car to the airport." Janice's excitement was uncontainable. She had only ever seen large airplanes on television, and now she was leaving Dungo Village to board one herself. She vowed to rise above her humble beginnings, no matter the cost.

Andrew managed to rush Bonnie and Janice to the airport, arriving just in time to meet Jeremiah and the others. As Janice gazed at the plane, her eyes sparkled. She'd overheard someone mention it was Jeremiah's private jet. "How much must this have cost?" she thought. "Bonnie is incredibly lucky to have met such wealthy people." Janice knew from Bonnie that Jeremiah was Yvette's boyfriend, and that they were deeply in love.

Though intensely jealous, Yvette's earlier kick had left a lasting impression, making Janice wary of provoking Jeremiah. Instead, she set her sights on Andrew. She and Bonnie were born only a day apart, but while Bonnie was Dungo Village's revered guardian, Janice had always had to struggle for survival. Janice resolved to win Andrew's affection; she was determined to ascend.

Once on the plane, Yvette and Jeremiah settled into the rearmost seats, drawing the curtains for privacy. Emmett, Charles, and Samantha took their usual seats. Andrew led Bonnie to sit beside them, while Janice sat alone. She sat rigidly, too nervous to look around freely, though her eyes darted from one luxurious detail to another. She had never imagined flying in a private jet. The opulent lifestyle seemed to beckon her.

Feeling slightly giddy, Janice mimicked Samantha by ordering orange juice, pretending to sip while eavesdropping on their conversation. Emmett casually browsed a financial newspaper. The stock market had been volatile recently, resulting in significant losses for many.

Samantha took a sip of her juice and glanced at Emmett's newspaper. "So, you've started investing lately? The first thing you do is open the financial section."

Emmett nodded slightly, setting down his paper with nonchalance. "I've invested 70 million, just a little pastime."

Charles looked over. "I sold my stocks a couple of days ago. The market's too unstable." Samantha, half-joking, asked, "Made a profit, I bet? If you have a good investment strategy, why not share it with me?" Charles glanced at her. "Could you maybe leave some opportunities for the rest of us?"

Samantha laughed brightly, yawning and stretching. "That's where you're wrong. No one thinks they have too much money except fools."

Andrew echoed Samantha. "Dad always told us, 'Only a fool turns down easy money.'" As their conversation grew lively, Janice interjected, "You're all so amazing."

Her face was full of admiration, hoping to ingratiate herself through flattery. However, this group despised such insincere flattery, especially from someone with ulterior motives. The atmosphere immediately chilled.

No one responded. Conversation ceased as everyone returned to their own activities. Janice felt a chill at their indifference. She couldn't understand their disdain. After all, Bonnie was from Dungo Village, just like her. In Janice's mind, she surpassed Bonnie in looks, figure, and intelligence.

Yet she'd witnessed Yvette discreetly give Bonnie candy, and despite Yvette's impassive expression, Janice sensed their closeness. Samantha, previously cold, offered to order something for Bonnie. Even Charles and Emmett treated Janice and Bonnie differently. Andrew, initially polite, was now distinctly cold. 'Is it all because of Yvette?' she wondered.

Seeing Janice near tears, Bonnie hurried to comfort her. Bonnie wasn't sure what to say; she understood that Yvette's tolerance of Janice was already remarkable. Bonnie looked at Janice with her usual innocent expression. "Janice, is there anything else you'd like to eat?"

Janice was speechless. Bonnie had been a gourmand since childhood. 'Is she seriously asking me what I want to eat right now? Total blockhead,' Janice thought. She knew that Bonnie was her only chance to remain close to the group.

Suppressing her irritation, Janice adopted a pleasant tone. "I'm not hungry, Bon. Do you think everyone dislikes me? I know I messed up. I didn't mean to target Ms. Zellerโ€ฆ I was standing up for you. But she hasn't forgiven me, and your friends don't want me around, either."

Bonnie sighed. "Janice, don't overthink it. Yvette is a very kind person. If she still held a grudge, she wouldn't have let you on the plane. Don't worry. I'll go with you to apologize to Yvette when we have a chance."

Janice's head spun. 'Has Bonnie been brainwashed by Yvette? She isn't even siding with me.' Resigned, Janice nodded. "Alright."

In the private cabin, Yvette rested with her eyes closed when Jeremiah leaned over, his familiar scent filling the air. He planted a gentle kiss, watching her lashes tremble slightly, a faint smile playing on his lips. Yvette's sharp features were flawless, and Jeremiah's gaze lingered, intensely deep. As Yvette opened her eyes, his smile deepened.

Yvette's fingers clenched. "Playing tricks? So childish."

Jeremiah nodded calmly. "Kissing my girlfriend doesn't count as a trick." Yvette raised an eyebrow, smiling slyly. Their mingled breaths created a subtle, sweet fragrance.

Jeremiah sighed softly, holding her hand. "We'll be apart again soon."

Propping her chin on her hand, Yvette hooked his finger with hers. "Try not to miss me too much."

Jeremiah paused, surprised. "What if I can't?"

Yvette pondered seriously. "I'll allow it."

Jeremiah's laughter filled the cabin, his gaze fixed on her lips. "I'll take a little interest in advance, then."

Outside, Emmett, Charles, and Samantha heard Jeremiah's laughter, but didn't react. They were accustomed to his easy laughter whenever he was with Yvette.

Only Janice sat there, staring at the closed cabin door. She couldn't see, but from his laughter, she knew how happy he was. 'What makes Yvette worthy of his love? Just because of her pretty face?' she wondered.
