Just as Rebecca planned to slip away unnoticed, a familiar voice stopped her. "Rebecca,"

The single word drew every eye in the hushed hall to Nathan and Rebecca, who had been attempting a discreet exit. Nathan, noticing Yvette's intense gaze, turned sharply to Rebecca, his expression grim. He wondered how she had managed to offend Yvette.

Rebecca stiffened, clutching her bag so tightly she almost lost her balance. Affecting calmness, she turned, only to meet Yvette's mocking smile. She knew Yvette had discovered her use of Xander Group against Vibe and resolved never to admit it. Rebecca could only hope Yvette lacked concrete evidence.

The money, after all, had passed through three separate transfers, making it difficult to trace back to her and Arcanum Group.

Feigning confusion, Rebecca smoothed her hair. "What's wrong, Ms. Zeller? I'm feeling unwell. If nothing is urgent, I'll leave to avoid disturbing you."

Yvette erupted in laughter, observing Rebecca's carefully crafted display of weakness. Her brows arched, her smile captivating, yet arrogance glinted in her eyes.

"Rebecca, you went to a great deal of trouble to transfer $160 million three times to Gael. Care to explain?" Yvette asked. Jeremiah stood nearby, elegant and smiling indulgently. He wasn't surprised Yvette had uncovered Vibe's attacker overnight; her efficiency was legendary, even from their time together.

Rebecca recoiled at Yvette's words. Seeing the skeptical glances from the assembled guests, she quickly composed herself, standing tall, though her eyes were slightly red-rimmed and her voice trembled.

"Ms. Zeller," Rebecca said, "we know each other from Seacrity. You accuse me of sabotaging Vibe, but where is your proof? The entire industry knows Xander Group broke the contract. What does that have to do with me?

Arcanum Group and Vibe are competitors, yes, but your accusation is far too serious. I'm merely Arcanum Group's general manager; you're Vibe's CEO. That doesn't grant you license to slander me at will."

Rebecca's words were logical and persuasive, subtly swaying the guests in her favor.

"Exactly," one guest remarked. "Ms. Carter has no reason to target Vibe. She's so kind and well-mannered; there must be a misunderstanding."

"I agree," another chimed in. "She's Mr. Goodman's fiancée. Why would she do such a thing?"

Nathan regarded Rebecca with suspicion. He believed she was intelligent enough not to orchestrate such a scheme, suspecting Yvette was deliberately provoking her. His expression darkened.

Rebecca knew her strongest allies stood before her. If Yvette pursued this, only the Goodman family and Nathan could protect her.

Meeting Nathan's gaze, she offered a pitiful look, silently pleading for his trust. "I truly don't know what Yvette is talking about," she whispered. "I harbor no ill will toward Vibe; I had no reason to act against them.

Don't believe her. Our families have always clashed; she's likely using this as an opportunity for revenge."

Nathan remained unconvinced. "If you're lying to me," he stated, "it will be the last thing you do."

Jeremiah, one hand in his pocket, watched with chilling indifference as Rebecca attempted to garner sympathy. "Rebecca," Sienna interjected, "you left no trace. Do you really think you can deceive everyone?"

The murmuring ceased. Nathan hesitated; he didn't want to antagonize Yvette, but Rebecca was his fiancée. To remain silent would cost him reputation and dignity.

Gritting his teeth, he turned to Yvette, Rebecca's hopeful gaze upon him. "Yvette, Rebecca is my fiancée, and will be the hostess of the Goodman family. If you have no proof, refrain from fabricating accusations."

Were it anyone else, Nathan would have been far less courteous. But facing Yvette, he couldn't afford to offend her.

His restrained demeanor surprised everyone; the Goodman family rarely showed such forbearance toward enemies. Rebecca felt a surge of uneasy shock.

Nathan then addressed the formidable Sienna. "Sienna, don't target Rebecca simply because she's my fiancée. You were the one who left me." Sienna recoiled. "Oh my God, Nathan! Don't be gross!"

Disgusted, Sienna barely registered Nathan's affectionate gaze. Yvette casually raised an eyebrow, her expression inscrutable. "Proof? No problem."

The revelation sparked a fresh wave of excited whispers.

"Did you hear that? Vibe's boss has proof! This just got interesting."

"If Yvette produces proof, Rebecca's finished."

"If it's true, her acting is superb."

Yvette's words sent a jolt through Rebecca, threatening her composure. She clutched her bag, her fear escalating.

Nathan's face turned frigid. Then Bruce emerged from the crowd, his presence commanding attention as he strode confidently toward Yvette and Jeremiah.

Handing Yvette a briefcase, Bruce said, "Yvette, this contains evidence of Rebecca's bribery of Gael, including detailed financial transactions." He then took his place beside Sienna, who softly asked, "Is this the folder Yvette gave you when she left the car? Did she really find all this overnight?"

Bruce draped an arm around Sienna's shoulder, whispering, "I doubt she needed the whole night." Yvette's expression remained impassive, her eyes deep. She extracted the documents and tossed them toward Rebecca.

Dozens of papers scattered, blanketing the floor. Guests leaned to read, but Rebecca remained frozen, her eyes unfocused.

Nathan glanced at the papers, then turned to Rebecca, his eyes blazing with anger, sending a chill down her spine.
