Chapter 80
Meanwhile, Nicole arrived home and received a call from Jeremy. She answered calmly, "I'm home now."
"Good, get some rest," Jeremy replied.
Just as she was about to hang up, Nicole remembered something and quickly asked, "Do you know anyone who does home design?"
Jeremy was surprised. "Are you looking to redecorate?"
"It's not for me. It's for Elysia," Nicole replied.
Jeremy thought, Elysia? If she wants to redecorate… He glanced at Zane, who was driving beside him, and got an idea. "Leave it to me!"
"Great, thanks," Nicole said.
"Do we need to be so formal?" Nicole rolled her eyes on the other end and hung up.
Staring at the disconnected phone, Jeremy was stunned for a moment, then looked at Zane with a mischievous grin. "Zane, I just heard something about Elysia. Want to know?"
When Zane heard Elysia's name, his eyes lit up slightly, and he involuntarily smiled.
Jeremy could hardly believe his eyes. He thought, Did Zane smile? I'm sure I'm not mistaken.
But Zane quickly pulled him back to reality, speaking coldly, "Speak."
"Such a cold person?" Jeremy pouted. "Now I suddenly don't feel like saying anything."
"That limited-edition sports car in my garage—it's yours," Zane said.
Jeremy looked at him incredulously. He thought, That sports car is Zane's prized possession, usually off-limits, and now he's giving it away? Just for a hint about Elysia? Is it worth it?
"Don't want it?" Zane shot back.
"I want it!" Jeremy replied.
"Then you have to tell me," Zane said.
Jeremy thought, Is he in a rush? He didn't dare delay. "Elysia wants her house redone; she needs an interior designer."
"Redo the house?" Zane asked.
"Yeah, Nicole didn't go into details, just asked if I knew anyone in the field. Of course, I thought of you. You have a wide network. You know someone trustworthy," Jeremy replied.
Upon hearing this, Zane replied seriously, "Coincidentally, one of our partners works in interior design. I'll contact them."
Seeing Zane's action, Jeremy gave him a thumbs-up. He knew this was easy for Zane. "So, how about that sports car you promised me, Zane?"
"You can pick it up tomorrow," Zane said.
"Awesome!" Jeremy grinned. He thought, Being friends with a wealthy guy sure is fun.
At the Davis residence, Matthew had just received a furious call from Scented Garden. They had refused the Davis family's reservation, and worse, they were blacklisted. Matthew thought, Did the Davis family offend Scented Garden somehow?
Scented Garden was a symbol of status in Sivro. Their refusal was a direct blow to the Davis family's standing. The welcome party for Nork, already publicized at Scented Garden, was now a major problem. Matthew thought, What should we do now? How can the Davis family maintain their dignity in Sivro? He was anxious and restless.

The next morning, Elysia arrived at school and immediately heard gossip about Emma. The uproar from Emma's birthday party had created a buzz online. People had learned about rumors of Emma associating with several middle-aged men at a hotel and her scheme to falsely accuse Elysia of stealing a necklace.
The rumors about the middle-aged men, however, garnered more attention, clashing sharply with Emma's wholesome image as the campus beauty.
Almost overnight, Emma's title as campus beauty became a joke. A few people sympathized with Elysia, thinking, Having such a troublesome sister is truly unlucky!
Emma, unaware of the dramatic shift, was busy decorating a suburban villa with Robert.
Meanwhile, Natalie anxiously tried to defend Emma, but received only cold stares and unpleasant remarks. Misha, unmoved since the auditorium incident, remained unconvinced of Emma's innocence, thinking, Everything is connected to Emma.
"Elysia?" Ava entered the school gate, saw Elysia, and jogged over to link arms with her. Eric followed.
Elysia was surprised. "Did you guys come together?"
Ava quickly explained, "No, we just met at the entrance." She looked at Elysia beaming. "Elysia, do you think Emma will still have the nerve to come to school?"
"No idea," Elysia replied.
"I think with everything that's happened, she probably won't. But you never know, she is pretty thick-skinned after all!" Ava said.
"Does saying that make any difference?" Eric quipped.
Ava glanced at Eric and said nothing. Then she looked at Elysia. "Elysia, I want to go to the art room to paint later. Will you come with me?"
"Sure," Elysia replied.
As soon as Elysia agreed, Ava was tempted to kiss Elysia's cheek. Just then, she noticed Elena approaching with a black notebook, followed by several students.
Ava recognized them as heads of the student union's sports and etiquette departments, and other union members.
Ava greeted, "Hello, Elena!"
Elena nodded slightly before turning to Elysia. "I have to attend a meeting. Let's meet up some other time."
"Okay," Elysia replied.
Ava's eyes sparkled. "Elena is so cool!"
"A daydreamer," Eric teased, strolling past her.
"Hey! Who are you calling a daydreamer!" Ava protested, chasing after him.
Eric ran, and they playfully bantered as they entered Class 6. Most classmates had arrived and were studying.
Elysia felt pleased. She thought, At this pace, moving up the ranks in the next exam would not be a problem.
In the student union office, members debated who should lead the parade team for the Winter Sports Event.

"In my opinion, it should still be Emma. She did it last year and has the experience," said the head of the sports department.
Someone immediately objected, "With the recent rumors about Emma, she might not be a good fit anymore."
"I agree. The parade leader should be a role model. Emma isn't the right fit."
