Chapter 12

Elijah offered a strained smile. “I didn’t think someone from your background could possess such class and grace. You’re a true lady, unlike Aria.” He presented her with a cup of coffee. “Consider this my apology for earlier.”

Emma eyed the coffee. Its rich aroma couldn't mask its true nature. Her heightened sense of smell, honed during her time with the organization, instantly detected Elijah's clumsy attempt to drug it. She accepted the cup, met his gaze, and prepared to sip.

Elijah watched, thrilled. He hadn't expected such ease. She isn't the tough girl the Wilsons portrayed her to be. My charm is clearly working wonders, he thought.

He'd already positioned a hidden camera near the door. A press of a button would livestream Emma's supposedly intoxicated antics.

Emma observed his every move. Here we go again, she thought, remembering Aria's previous trick—spiking her coffee, resulting in a humiliating viral incident that spurred her to join a clandestine overseas organization.

A smirk played on Emma's lips. Without warning, she flung the coffee onto the floor.

Elijah stared, stunned. Before he could react, Emma’s swift kick to his knee sent him sprawling.

“Emma, what the hell?” he yelled.

“Tired of coffee,” she replied. “Want to apologize? Get down on your knees and lick this up. Then maybe I’ll forgive you.”

“You crazy bitch, why would I—Ahh!” A searing pain shot through his kneecap as Emma pressed her boot against his leg. “No more pretending. It’s good coffee, shame to waste it. Lick it up, or…”

“Ow, damn it! It hurts! Fine, I’ll do it!” Elijah felt his leg threaten to snap under her immense strength.

Emma’s pressure intensified, his lips nearing the floor.

“Okay, stop! I’ll lick it!” He panicked.

Outside, Liam’s rage simmered. He'd overheard snippets of the conversation, focusing on the word "lick." His expression was terrifying. Levi wished he could vanish. This is insane. Miss Wilson is going too far! he thought.

Liam was about to burst in when he peeked through the crack in the door and witnessed the scene within. Aria had chosen this door height for Liam to catch them, but she hadn't anticipated this. Liam saw Elijah sobbing, pleading, licking the floor.

“Please, stop! It hurts!” Elijah cried.

Emma maintained her position, occasionally kicking him, each kick sending tremors through his body. Liam's fury didn't escalate, only confusion.

Levi, driven by curiosity, peeked inside. He was speechless. “Holy shit, Miss Wilson really knows how to play… Mr. Hall, thank God you’re not married to her, or your leg…” His voice trailed off as he noticed Liam’s deadly glare.

“Elijah is dead meat,” Liam said chillingly.

Inside, Elijah wished he were dead. Emma, calculating the drug's effects, kicked him aside and grabbed the camera, aiming it at him. He thrashed wildly. “Ah, feels so good. Mmm, it tastes amazing. So yummy.”
