Chapter 213

Emma and Liam decided to marry after one hundred days, coinciding with her twenty-first birthday. On her special day, Emma wanted to marry the man she loved most, dressed in her finest attire.

They selected a beautiful, romantic fishtail wedding gown together. While the style was finalized, some details still needed perfecting. With ample time before the wedding, the chosen gown was sent to Mayland for alterations. It was the most exquisite dress Emma had ever seen, designed collaboratively by her and Liam; the finished product would undoubtedly stun the world.

Next, they chose their wedding rings. While they already possessed diamond engagement rings, Emma desired a meaningful pair for daily wear. She declined Liam’s offer of another large diamond ring, finding it unnecessary.

At a prestigious royal jewelry shop, a smartly dressed assistant respectfully presented a platinum ring, "Miss Wilson, this is our newest design, inspired by the pillars of Denmen Square in Anaur. Eight dazzling diamonds are embedded; it's elegant and exquisite, perfect for your hand."

Liam had carefully chosen this brand, knowing Emma disliked overly popular or high-profile labels. This three-hundred-year-old establishment, with a history of designing for royalty, aligned perfectly with Emma's refined taste.

Emma tried on the suggested ring. The simple design showcased exceptional craftsmanship, making her fingers appear slender and elegant. However, she felt something was missing. She then noticed a hexagonal ring in the display, less flashy than the first but possessing a unique, cooler aesthetic. Its understated elegance captivated her attention.

"May I see this one?" she asked.

"Certainly," the assistant replied, presenting both rings. "This design is inspired by natural flora and fauna, symbolizing the royal family's love nest."

Under the light, Emma examined the hexagonal geometric pattern, its small, flickering diamonds dazzling. The superior cut emitted a noble yet understated brilliance, filled with natural beauty. She made her decision instantly.

Liam, seeing her smile, understood. He produced a black card. "This is the one."

The rings required custom sizing, necessitating a short wait for pickup. However, this delay added to the ritualistic experience.

Leaving the shop, Emma sighed contentedly. "This ring is so beautiful. Just looking at it makes me feel so sweet. It's like I've already spent the rest of my life with you. We'll always be this sweet, right?"

Walking beside Liam, she looked up into his eyes, her demeanor youthful and carefree. Liam, his breath catching, kissed her forehead. "Of course."

Previous rumors questioning their relationship had prompted their hasty wedding decision. Soon, the world would know Emma as Liam's wife. Meanwhile, Riley's luck had run out; Liam had already dealt with the online troublemaker.

A few days later, upon returning to Charon Military School, Emma found the rumors quelled by Liam's actions. Unaware of Riley's departure, Emma focused entirely on wedding preparations. Only Liam knew Riley would never return.

Levi, Liam's assistant, reported, "Mr. Hall, the rumors about Madam have ceased. The wedding will settle any remaining doubts. However, shouldn't we inform Mr. Simon beforehand?"

Despite heading the Halls Group, Liam needed to inform Simon about his marriage.

"No need," Liam replied calmly, his fingers idly tapping the table. Their communication had been strained since Simon's lie about Emma's location on Holy Mountain. Liam had responded coldly or ignored his calls. His eyes darkened. "I'll inform him when the time is right. There are more important matters to attend to."

Levi, slightly surprised, asked, "Mr. Hall, is there anything else?"

"Go prepare…" Liam instructed.

At Charon, Liam's preparations ensured Emma's peace of mind. Only Lane inquired, "Miss Wilson, what about the wedding gown information you requested?"

Emma, having viewed Liam's ten wedding dress options the previous night, realized her lack of knowledge and sought Lane's help, usually relying on Josiah for such details. However, needing the information urgently, she turned to Lane.

After years of knowing each other, Emma increasingly trusted Lane. She recounted her upcoming wedding to Lane, who reacted with shock and excited envy.

"No way! You and Mr. Hall are finally getting married!" Lane exclaimed. "Wait, when did this happen? I didn't know!"

Emma raised an eyebrow. "Didn't you?"

"I didn't!" Lane clasped her hands. "So, Miss Wilson, have you chosen your gown? The ring? The date?" Lane's anticipation was palpable.

Emma, equally excited, smiled and pulled Lane toward the canteen. "More or less, everything is decided. The gown is being perfected, and we'll pick up the rings in a few days."

Lane's eyes sparkled. "It's really happening!" She was brimming with excitement.
