Listen to this chapter:

Jonathan had to embark on a last-minute business trip to Cranur for three days. En route, he remained preoccupied with the situation involving Michael, questioning whether he was overthinking things.

Michael, who accompanied him, leaned against the airplane window, curiously surveying his surroundings. "Wow," he exclaimed, "it's my first time flying first class!"

Jonathan looked at Michael and asked, "What did you take to Jarisburg?"

"We took the train!" Michael replied. "I was upset because we didn't get to see Candy Castle; it was too crowded."

Jonathan responded, "I'll take you there when the weather gets warmer."

"Sure!" Michael swung his legs. "But Mr. Daddy Lime, how did you know I visited Jarisburg?"

"I also knew Teresa and Miriam took you there. Isn't that so?" Jonathan answered.

"Wow, you're amazing," Michael said, his eyes sparkling with admiration. "We even saw Edward. Do you know him? He said he's your cousin."

"Yeah, that's right," Jonathan replied, nodding and patting Michael's head. "Edward Lawrence is my cousin."

Michael nodded, his eyes still shining. "Can we stay in your mansion next time? Edward took us there, and it's huge. I loved it!"

Jonathan had purchased that courtyard house in Jarisburg for his wife and son. Unsure if Michael was his son, he remained silent, fearing disappointment.

Michael, receiving no response, muttered, "How petty." He thought, "We are so close, yet he won't let me stay in his mansion. What a stingy guy!"

Upon arriving in Cranur, Jonathan took Michael to the hotel and checked into the presidential suite. It was Michael's first time in a hotel suite; he had only seen them on television.

"I'll take you downstairs to eat before I attend my business meeting. I'll come back for you afterward, alright?" Jonathan asked.

Michael nodded obediently. "Sure!"

Jonathan's business partner's manager eagerly prepared a meal in advance, hoping to impress him. Unfortunately, Jonathan was not one to follow local customs. He disliked spicy food, and so did Michael.

Baffled, the manager apologized. "I'm sorry, Mr. Lynn. I didn't know you and your son don't eat spicy food. I'll prepare something else right away."

"Thank you," Jonathan said politely.

Jonathan then scrutinized Michael. During their trip, at least three strangers had mistaken Michael for his son. He thought, "Was it just polite small talk, or do we look alike? If this is my son, I feel like I've been played!"

"Mr. Daddy Lime, I don't eat peppers and blue cheese," Michael said.

"I know," Jonathan replied, regaining his composure and patting Michael's head. "Me too."

After eating, Jonathan sent Michael back to the presidential suite and went to his business meeting. Michael had his phone in his pocket, but instead of watching videos as usual, he lay on the couch and began drawing. Suddenly, his phone buzzed with a message.

Teresa texted: [Have you eaten?] Unsure if Jonathan was with Michael, she texted instead of calling.

Michael haughtily sent a voice message. "Yes, Mommy. I'm staying alone in a presidential suite now, aren't you jealous?"

Teresa called Michael immediately, believing the boy hadn't bothered to call her once in the past few days. Not being proactive herself, she had been waiting for him to contact her.

"Michael, you're living the high life, aren't you? Staying in a presidential suite and living in luxury? Did you forget about me?" Teresa asked.

"Since I don't eat spicy food, I ate a kid's meal Mr. Lime got me and even flew first class today. Mr. Daddy Lime went out, so I'm alone in this presidential suite. The sofa here is bigger than my bed!" Michael reported to Teresa in his cute, childlike voice.

Teresa snorted. "What's so great about a presidential suite? It doesn't have the warmth of home!"

Michael replied, "Mommy, you're just jealous, right?"

Teresa was speechless.
