Listen to this chapter:

Alas, saying these things to a child seemed harsh, but it couldn't be helped.

We easily relate to Michael's feelings. Who hasn't done silly things when young? As a child, he often imagined being Elon Musk's son. However, fantasy remained just that. Hardly any such dreams came true, or the world would be full of rich kids. Furthermore, the other party involved was Jonathan. Countless women had been vying for his attention daily since he founded Horizonlead Group and the company rose to fame.

If Christian hadn't known Jonathan was pining for Teresa, he wouldn't have been so certain Michael had nothing to do with Jonathan.

Michael asked, "Mr. Dunn, I'm thirsty. I want juice."

"Okay, I'll buy you some from the vending machine," Christian said.

As he went to buy juice, Michael skipped to the entrance to wait, swaying slightly and holding onto the large pillar in front of the hospital. With his delicate face, high nose bridge, and perfectly shaped lips, he looked like a little prince from a fairytale.

Benny's car drove past, and he noticed Michael across the road. He slammed on the brakes, causing the car behind him to honk furiously, nearly rear-ending him.

With trembling hands, Benny took out his phone and called Jonathan. "You have a son? And you didn't tell me?"

Jonathan was confused. "Where would I have a son from? Did you give birth to one for me?"

Benny replied hastily, "No. I saw a little boy by the road, around two or three years old. He looked exactly like you when you were a kid. Isn't he yours?"

Benny and Jonathan were childhood friends. He knew exactly what Jonathan looked like as a child; it was Jonathan's youthful good looks that had initially drawn Benny to him.

"You must've seen wrong," Jonathan disagreed. There was no way he had a child. Teresa would never have a baby with him.

"But this kid looked soโ€”" Benny paused, seeing Christian. "Oh, I see the kid's dad now. Guess I was wrong."

"Ha," Jonathan hung up. "What was that about?" he wondered.

Benny wanted to drive away but took several photos of Michael. His resemblance to Jonathan was uncanny, but the child already had a father, though the father didn't resemble him.

Teresa emerged from the bathroom and overheard something about a child. She feigned nonchalance and casually inquired about it.

Jonathan leaned back in his chair. "Benny said he saw a kid on the street who looked like me and asked if he was mine."

His deep eyes locked onto Teresa. "How could he be mine?" he muttered.

Teresa pursed her lips. Could the child he saw be Michael? But Michael should be home. He's always so well-behaved and obedient, especially with Sherry looking after him, she contemplated.

Thinking this, Teresa felt more at ease and said calmly, "Well, there's no way I'm having your child. As for whether you've fathered a child elsewhere, I wouldn't know."

"Where would I have another woman?" he asked.

Teresa said, "How would I know if you've had another woman in the past two years?"

"I haven't." Jonathan got up to go to the bathroom.

As he walked past Teresa, she asked, "Do you need my help?"

"No need." He closed the bathroom door behind him.

Teresa shrugged. Jonathan was angry again. She realized she hadn't gone home in three days and wondered if Michael missed her. She tried calling him but couldn't get through, so she went to the living room and called Sherry.

Sherry quickly assured her, "We're home. I'm watching over him." At the same time, she texted Christian to send Michael home quickly.
