The corridor was long, with many small compartments. Jay led her to one, opened the door, and turned on the light. A bright light suddenly filled the room. The room had only one large lamp on the ceiling; the walls were covered in mirrors.

“What’s this?” Caroline looked around, her face filled with confusion.

Jay explained, “Don’t be nervous, darling. This is just an ordinary makeup room. It’s designed according to my style—as mysterious as my name.”

“I will complete your entire look from head to toe in here,” he continued, “and these mirrors are to help you see a different side of yourself. Come, have a glass of water to relax. I’ll go get the measuring tape.”

He produced a glass of water and handed it to Caroline. She drank it and stood waiting. Soon, Jay pushed a trolley over. It held makeup products, tools, a measuring tape, and many black threads. Underneath was a large silver box; it seemed quite heavy, as if filled with many things.

“Come, let’s measure first,” Jay explained while measuring. “Then I can choose clothes for you based on your size. Each piece of clothing here is designed by me, and they are unique. So, I need to measure customers to see if they fit.”

“I see,” Caroline nodded.

Jay spoke again, “Darling, close your eyes and relax. Let your whole body relax. This way, I can better understand your body measurements. I have very high standards, you know. So, the clothes I design also have high requirements for the wearer. Even a one-centimeter difference might mean you can’t fit into the clothes, or you might not feel the essence of the design. I hope everyone who wears my designs can perfectly embody them. Don’t be nervous.”

Hearing his voice, Caroline was completely relaxed. However, as soon as Jay started measuring her with the tape, he stopped and walked in front of her.

He said, “Darling, you’re not relaxed enough. Come on, look at my hand. I’ll help you relax completely. Follow the movement of my hand, close your eyes, and imagine yourself in a vast grassland. Caroline felt like she was in a fairy tale, so real that she could even smell the flowers.

Jay continued, “Good, you’re completely relaxed now. I’ll start measuring. You need to maintain this state and imagine yourself in this sea of flowers, like a princess in a fairy tale.”

Then he began to measure. Caroline didn’t notice that Jay started from her ankles, moving upwards. He didn’t have a measuring tape in his hand at all; he was simply touching her. His fingers moved from her ankles to her calves, thighs, hips, belly, waist, chest, collarbone, and neck. In the meantime, he kept hypnotizing her. Eventually, Caroline was immersed in the world he described.

When she finally woke up, she felt hands all over her body. As she opened her eyes, she saw herself naked in the mirror. Her clothes—skirt, bra, underwear, and stockings—were all scattered on the floor.

“Ah, you bastard! What did you do to me?” she shouted, trying to slap him.

He smiled, easily caught her hand, and pinned her against the mirror on the wall.
