Alpha Hayleyโ€™s Destined Mate

Chapter 130: I Know Them

Christopherโ€™s POV:

Caesar had an excited look on his face. โ€œI just got in touch with Siete. Do you know what he said?โ€

I raised an eyebrow, but before I could ask, Caesar eagerly continued, โ€œSiete said heโ€™s negotiating with a new composer for you. Do you know who it is? Itโ€™s Harmony! The one who was so popular, Harmony!โ€

I had no interest at all, but when I heard that, I couldnโ€™t help but feel a bit surprised. โ€œHarmony? The one who has dominated the music charts for years with just three songs? The same one who, even after stepping back from the spotlight, has consistently ranked in the top three trending topics? I must be hearing things!โ€

Seeing my reaction, Caesar nodded with satisfaction. โ€œYou heard correctly! Thatโ€™s right! Siete mentioned that he has a personal connection with Harmony, and if they can reach an agreement, Harmony will write and compose the lead track for your new album. Just imagine โ€“ the buzz around Harmony alone will elevate your new release to a whole new level!โ€

โ€œDidnโ€™t Harmony retire from the industry? Is he really thinking about making a comeback?โ€ I asked, feeling confused.

โ€œIโ€™m not sure about that either,โ€ Caesar replied. โ€œBut Siete said thereโ€™s a good chance they can persuade Harmony, so he must have his reasons.โ€

โ€œDonโ€™t worry! Siete is optimistic about the possibility. Letโ€™s wait and see. I believe weโ€™ll get a good result,โ€ Caesar said confidently.

Without a clear answer, my hopes quickly faded. Harmony was such a mystery; after all these years of media scrutiny, no one managed to uncover anything about him. How could he consider a comeback just for me? I was not the alpha of the Midnight Pack, and I couldnโ€™t offer him any power or benefits. It was simply impossible.

I felt completely devoid of hope as I followed Caesar into the elevator.

โ€œBy the way, do you know those two girls we just saw?โ€ Caesar asked.

I nodded. โ€œYeah, I know them.โ€

Caesar began to discuss, โ€œThey both have potential, especially the taller Omega. Her figure is perfect for the entertainment industry, but her face is a bit unfortunate. If she got some work done, she might have a shot at getting into the circle. But being an Omega, she likely wonโ€™t be given much importance. She might land a few minor roles, though.โ€

I knew Caesar was talking about Hayley, so I responded without hesitation, โ€œThatโ€™s Hayley, the one I mentioned to you before.โ€ I was starting to appreciate Hayley, who seemed to be almost a jack-of-all-trades.

Caesar immediately fell silent. โ€œI shouldnโ€™t have brought it up.โ€

Hayleyโ€™s POV:

Chapter 130: I Know Them

I didnโ€™t spend much time thinking about my brief encounter with Christopher.

Soon, it was Tistaโ€™s turn for her interview.

I waited in the hallway, and after about half an hour, Trista finally came out. โ€œHow did it go?โ€ I asked.

She just shook her head. โ€œIโ€™m not sure. The director said to go home and wait for a call.โ€

I comforted her, saying, โ€œThatโ€™s alright. Letโ€™s go back for now.โ€

Just as we returned to school, Trista received a call from the production team, and she was over the moon. โ€œOh my gosh, Hayley! I got the role! The director wants me to start next week. Itโ€™s a supporting character, but he mentioned itโ€™s still an important part, and Iโ€™ll be filming for a month!โ€

Trista excitedly shared the news, and I was genuinely happy for her. โ€œCongratulations! You get to do what you love.โ€

Trista beamed with joy. โ€œTo celebrate this big moment, Iโ€™ll throw a party at my place tonight!โ€

Not wanting to rain on her parade and with no other plans for the evening, I agreed. โ€œLetโ€™s invite Lillian and Christine. The four of us can go together.โ€

Trista agreed and grabbed her phone to call Lillian, while I sent a message to Christine.

After confirming with Christine, I called George. โ€œGrandpa Southwell, Iโ€™m going to a friendโ€™s party tonight, so Iโ€™ll be back a bit late.โ€

Grandpa Southwell replied with concern, โ€œOkay! Send me your location, and Iโ€™ll have the driver pick you up later.โ€

I gave him the address before ending the call.

By eight that evening, the four of us were enjoying ourselves at Tristaโ€™s party in her familyโ€™s club.

In the middle of the party, I stepped into the restroom to touch up my makeup in front of the mirror, concealing my true self.

Suddenly, I heard a โ€œthudโ€ as a lipstick fell at my feet. I instinctively looked down and picked it up, only to see a beautifully dressed woman politely saying, โ€œThank you,โ€ as she took it from my hand.

I didnโ€™t think much of it and returned to the mirror to adjust my makeup and outfit. Just as I was about to leave, I overheard the woman on the phone, sweetly calling out, โ€œBen.โ€

For some reason, upon hearing the name โ€œBen,โ€ Hayley instinctively thought of Benjamin. But then she reconsidered, and it didnโ€™t seem likely. Benjamin was an alpha, and most people ranked below him would respectfully refer to him as โ€œalpha.โ€ So she shrugged it off and stepped outside.

Tristaโ€™s family club was quite large, with winding hallways, and since each room looked similar, I found myself momentarily lost, unable to locate the party room.

After wandering around the hallway, just as I was about to call Trista, I caught a glimpse of a familiar figure.

Benjamin was dumbfounded.
