Alpha Hayleyโs Destined Mate
Chapter 296: Has He Fallen for an Omega?
Tannerโs POV
I could sense Benjaminโs irritation. Realizing I had said something wrong, I immediately apologized, โBen, donโt be mad. I didnโt mean to badmouth Hayley. I just think that everyone loves their partners with good looks, and with her looks, there might be some regrets.โ
Benjaminโs expression softened slightly, and he said, โDonโt ever repeat that. From now on, donโt speak ill of her.โ
Seeing how serious he was, I quickly nodded. โAlright, Ben! You can count on me. Iโll keep my mouth shut from now on.โ
I hadnโt expected Ben to defend Hayley so fiercely. Could it be that heโs fallen for an Omega?
Hayleyโs POV:
I changed into the wedding dress in the fitting room. It fit perfectly, almost without a single flaw. The only downside was that it felt incredibly heavy, like I was carrying a massive stone on my back. It made me feel stifled, and even breathing became a bit difficult.
I took a deep breath and walked out. โBenjamin, Iโm ready.โ
When I stood before Benjamin, I saw the surprise in his eyes. I knew it was because of my figure. The dress was so well-tailored that it highlighted my curves, making me look stunning.
Even Tanner stared at me for quite a while, probably not expecting the dress to look so good on me.
โHow do I look? Is there something wrong?โ I asked, noticing their silence.
Both men snapped out of their daze, with Benjamin speaking first, โNo issues. It looks great, and it suits your personality perfectly.โ
Tanner quickly added, โHayley, this dress suits you so well. If it were for an engagement party, it would be breathtaking.โ
I asked uncertainly, โReally? Do you think so?โ
The two of them nodded at the same time. I smiled, agreeing with them. I also thought the dress looked great. But there was one flawโthe dress was so heavy, it made me feel suffocated. After just a few minutes of wearing it, I could already feel a slight sweat forming on my back.
โI just think the material isnโt very lightweight. Itโs a bit suffocating, and itโs too tight, which makes the overall comfort a bit lacking,โ I said.
Chapter 296: Has He Fallen for an Omega?
My wolf, Hera, immediately sensed that Tannerโs wolf was starting to show signs of hostility. I understood. As a designer, Tanner didnโt take kindly to anyone pointing out flaws in his work. But this dress was on me, so I had to be honest about the issue.
Tanner furrowed his brow and impatiently asked, โThen what material do you think would be better?โ
Although he was asking me, his tone carried a hint of disdain, as if saying that I, someone who wasnโt an expert, didnโt know the first thing about design and was speaking out of turn.
I picked up on his tone but didnโt get upset. Instead, I calmly replied, โI think a lighter fabric, like chiffon, would work better. Also, the skirt design could be slightly altered. That way, not only would it lighten the load on the wearer, but it would also enhance the overall aesthetic.โ
โAlright, if thatโs what you think, Iโll try making the changes,โ Tanner said, signaling for his assistant to bring me a new dress.
Seeing his displeasure, I quickly added, โDonโt get me wrong. Iโm just offering a small suggestion. Your design is elegant, and overall, itโs really beautiful.โ
Tanner nodded. โItโs fine. If you think thereโs an issue, Iโll fix it.โ
His tone wasnโt as polite. Benjamin glanced at him.
