Chapter 360: Sinell Benjaminโs Presence
Hayleyโs POV:
Gloria replied to me with a smile. โThe alpha is in his study. The houseโฆโ She trailed off.
Grunting in surprise, I decided not to disturb him. I had his assistant deliver todayโs work to the study.
I walked straight to the dining room and sat down. It wasnโt long before the house staff brought in afternoon tea; everything was exactly as I liked it.
โMs. Hayley, please take your time. Let us know if you need anything,โ Gloria said.
โI will, thank you, Gloria.โ
I enjoyed my afternoon tea, feeling incredibly happy. The feeling of being cared for was so nice.
After finishing, I exited the dining room. Just as I was about to head to the backyard, Hera urgently urged me to go to the living room. She had already picked up on Benjaminโs scent, knowing he was nearby.
I hurried over, and, sure enough, Benjamin was gracefully coming down the stairs. He smiled at me and asked, โWhen did you wake up? Why didnโt you come find me earlier?โ
I playfully stuck my tongue out and explained, โI woke up a little while ago. I saw you were busy, so I didnโt want to bother you.โ
Benjamin walked right up to me, gently ruffling my hair. โI need to step out for a while. Iโll be back tonight. You should stay home and rest. Donโt overwork yourself.โ
I quickly responded, โYouโre leaving? I was actually planning to go to Tannerโs studio. Could you give me a ride?โ
Hearing that I was going out, Benjamin interrupted me. โYouโve only just had a few late nights. Your body wonโt be able to handle it. Iโll let Tanner know I wonโt be coming today.โ
โDonโt,โ I immediately refused. But I could see that Benjaminโs expression was turning a little frustrated. I couldnโt exactly tell him that I was actually an alpha, and staying up all night for a few days was no problem for me.
After thinking for a moment, I gently pulled on Benjaminโs arm and said softly, โThe client is coming over to try on the wedding dress. If there are any issues, itโll be easier for me to communicate directly and make adjustments. But if I donโt go, it might cause problems.โ
Benjamin had no choice but to agree. โJust donโt overdo it. Come back as soon as youโre done.โ
I was thrilled to hear him agree. โThanks, Iโll go early and be back early.โ
To my surprise, the next second, Benjamin pulled me into a hug, his hands around my waist. โSo, youโre sending me off just like that?โ
I pouted and asked, โWhat else do you want?โ
Benjamin kissed me deeply for a moment and then said, โAlright, I still have time to take you. Pack your things, and Iโll wait for you outside.โ
Freed, I quickly ran off, grabbed my bag from my room, and went downstairs. Benjamin drove me to Tannerโs studio.
I had just arrived when the client, Blaire Scott, showed up not long after. Blaire walked in, holding hands with her husband, Otto Scott. Tanner quickly greeted them. โMr. and Mrs. Scott!โ
Otto nodded slightly and asked, โMr. Southwell, my wifeโs wedding dress is ready, right?โ
Tanner smiled and replied, โItโs ready. Weโre just waiting for Mrs. Scott to try it on and see if it fits.โ
As he spoke, Tanner introduced me. โThis is Mrs. Scottโs wedding dress designer. If you have any thoughts, feel free to share them with her.โ
I politely extended my hand and greeted them, โHello, Mrs. Scott!โ
Blaire looked at me with a puzzled expression and said, โI feel like Iโve seen you somewhere before.โ
Shocked, I was surprised and unsure of how to respond. After a moment, she shrugged and said, โNever mind, I canโt remember.โ
โWell then, letโs get started. Please follow me to the fitting room,โ I said, leading Blaire toward the changing room, where two assistants brought the wedding dress.
The moment Blaire saw the dress, her eyes lit up, and she couldnโt stop praising it. โWow! This dress is beautiful!โ
โMrs. Scott, please try it on! It will look even more stunning on you,โ I said, instructing the assistants to help her change into the dress.
Ten minutes later, Blaire emerged from the fitting room.
