Chapter 362: Windhowl Pack
Hayleyโs POV:
โThe Windhowl Pack is under the control of the Scotts. Itโs one of the strongest packs in all of North Annestone,โ Tanner said, his voice filled with respect. โOuto, in order to marry his wife, gave up his right to inherit the alpha title. Later, he became a top-tier millionaire by starting his own company specializing in baby products. I heard he and his wife were college sweethearts, sticking together since their school days.โ
I listened, amazed, and couldnโt help but admire them. Their love is truly inspiring! Itโs the kind of thing people dream about,โ I said, filled with awe.
Tanner nodded thoughtfully and then looked at the invitation in my hands. His gaze narrowed as he spoke, โHayley, although the Windhowl Pack is very powerful, my family rarely interacts with them much.โ He paused, then added, โBut as the future Luna of the Midnight Pack, youโve received an invitation from the Scotts. Itโs a wonderful opportunity to build a relationship with them, which would benefit us greatly.โ
I understood his point, though my focus wasnโt on the politics or benefits. In actuality, I simply liked Blaire. She seemed like a lovely person with a wonderful personality, and I genuinely wanted to be friends with her.
โThe wedding is in three days,โ Tanner said. โIf you go, could you bring a gift for them on my behalf?โ
I glanced at the invitation, considering whether I had time to go. It seemed doable, though I wasnโt sure if Benjamin would be available.
โOkay, Iโll let you know closer to the date,โ I said, pulling out my phone to text Benjamin about the wedding.
Benjaminโs POV:
I read Hayleyโs message, pondering for a moment, before turning to Tyrone. โDid we receive an invitation to the wedding of Mr. Otto of the Windhowl Pack?โ
Tyrone quickly found the invitation and replied, โYes, we did. As usual, we would send a gift through a Beta officer in the name of the Midnight Pack.โ
I thought for a moment before responding. โNo need for that. Iโll take the gift myself.โ
Tyrone looked surprised. โAlpha, youโve never attended another packโs wedding before. Are you going this time?โ
โYes,โ I replied simply.
โI understand. Iโll prepare everything,โ Tyrone said, bowing respectfully before leaving to get ready.
Chapter 362: Windhowl Pack
Three days later, at the Windhowl Pack Estate. The enormous estate in the central region was already filled with guests. The strongest alphas from North Annestoneโs most powerful packs had arrived. Beta warriors stood guard, ensuring security as the atmosphere buzzed with excitement.
Hayleyโs POV:
I woke up early to put my makeup on. After checking myself in the mirror to make sure everything was perfect, I called out to Benjamin, โHurry up, we need to leave!โ
A soft purple dress adorned my body; it showcased my elegance and poise perfectly. I resembled the refined lady I once embodied as the Alpha of the Shadow Pack.
Benjamin stared at me for a long time when he saw me. Finally, he smiled and said, โYou look stunning today.โ
I smiled elegantly and replied, โThank you.โ Then I quickly urged him, โCome on, letโs go.โ
Hera happily sniffed Benjaminโs scent and wanted me to give him a kiss, but I mercilessly declined.
When we arrived at the estate, I noticed cars already lining the entrance. People were everywhere, making the area feel crowded and bustling. But when I linked arms with Benjamin and stepped out of the car, the crowd couldnโt help but stir. As the Alpha of the strongest pack, Benjamin was always the center of attention. His rare appearance at another packโs wedding only made it more surprising.
I overheard some whispered comments, some of them clearly judgmental. โThatโs Benjamin, the Alpha of the Midnight Pack! He actually came!โ โWho is the woman next to him? Sheโs so plain-looking! And sheโs an Omega!โ โShh, keep it down! Anyone whoโs with Alpha Benjamin must have some serious standing.โ
I could hear their whispers clearly, but I chose to ignore them. Given the situation, I pretended I hadnโt heard anything and walked forward with Benjamin. The crowd instinctively parted, creating a path for us.
โAlpha Benjamin, Iโm Angus Burton, the CEO of Burton Corporation. Perhaps we could discuss business.โ A middle-aged man approached us, bowing respectfully and handing Benjamin his business card.
Benjamin smiled and shook his head politely. โWeโre not here for work,โ he said. With that, he continued walking toward Otto.
When Otto saw Benjamin, his eyes widened in surprise. He hurried over to greet him. โAlpha Benjamin, I didnโt expect you to come in person! Welcome!โ Otto exclaimed, extending his hand with a warm and respectful demeanor.
Benjamin shook his hand politely and said, โMr. Scott, congratulations!โ
โThank you.โ Otto then turned his attention to me, offering a courteous greeting. โMs. Carson, itโs delightful to see you.โ His tone was respectful, and there was no trace of condescension despite my being an Omega. But when his eyes fell on the arm I was holding, linking with Benjamin, his eyes widened in shock.
