Chapter 371: Secrets

Hayleyโ€™s POV

Benjamin raised an eyebrow and said, โ€œI couldnโ€™t get a ticket, so I might not make it.โ€

I smiled and pulled a VIP ticket from behind me, handing it to him. โ€œHere, itโ€™s for you!โ€

Benjamin stared at the ticket, clearly surprised. โ€œHow did you get a VIP ticket?โ€

โ€œWell, Harmonyโ€™s fan meet this time was so popular that getting even a regular ticket was nearly impossible, let alone a VIP one. As the Alpha of the Midnight Pack, I couldnโ€™t even get a VIP ticket without the right connections.โ€

Seeing his shock, I calmly added, โ€œItโ€™s a secret. After the fan meet, I need to talk to you, so will you wait for me afterward?โ€

โ€œAlright!โ€ Benjamin agreed immediately.

I smiled happily and waved. โ€œIโ€™m going to bed now; I have exams tomorrow. You should rest too. Goodnight!โ€

โ€œGoodnight!โ€

Back in my room, I looked at myself in the mirror and started removing my makeup. I wanted to meet him after the fan meet without any disguise. What would his reaction be like? Various scenarios of how Benjamin might react flashed through my mind, and I chuckled softly. โ€œI just hope he wonโ€™t be too surprised.โ€

After finishing my last exam, the whole building erupted in joy. Everyone shifted into their wolf forms and ran out, full of excitement. But I kept my identity hidden and didnโ€™t shift into Hera to avoid being recognized as an Alpha. I calmly made my way through the crowd toward the school gates. Looking up at the sky, I took a deep breath and laughed aloud.

โ€œFinally, itโ€™s over!โ€ Christine suddenly sidled up to me, throwing an arm around my shoulders.

โ€œI donโ€™t even know how I survived this last month, but itโ€™s finally over!โ€

I smiled and gave her a hug.

โ€œYeah! Everythingโ€™s wrapped up. So, how are you spending the holiday?โ€

Christine asked seriously. Before I could answer, she added, โ€œIโ€™m going to Harmonyโ€™s fan meet first, then Iโ€™ll travel around. What about you?โ€

โ€œHayley, you promised us a surprise at Harmonyโ€™s fan meet. Come on, tell me! Iโ€™m dying to know!โ€

I paused for a moment, then smiled and said, โ€œItโ€™s a surprise, isnโ€™t it? Just wait one more day to find out.โ€

Christine pouted, clearly not happy. โ€œHayley, thatโ€™s not fair! But the more you tease me, the more I canโ€™t wait for your surprise.โ€

โ€œHaha, keep waiting! You wonโ€™t be disappointed.โ€ I laughed.

We continued chatting as we walked toward the school gates.

As soon as I stepped outside, I saw Thomasโ€™s car parked on the side of the road.

โ€œChristine, I have to go; Iโ€™ll see you later,โ€ I said quickly.

Christine waved at me. โ€œItโ€™s fine, you go ahead; Iโ€™ll head back on my own.โ€

After saying goodbye, I walked toward Thomasโ€™s car, opened the door, and got in. I sat in the front passenger seat without saying a word.

โ€œAlpha, the event sponsor arranged a dinner for tonight. They want you to join since they sponsored the whole event. I already agreed on your behalf. Is that okay?โ€ Thomas reported.

Since it was just dinner, I didnโ€™t think much of it and agreed.

โ€œAlright, but I need to change. Iโ€™ll wear my favorite denim outfit, and I should probably take off this makeup.โ€

Thomas laughed at this and said, โ€œAlpha, Iโ€™ve gotten so used to your hideous makeup. If you hadnโ€™t mentioned it, I might have forgotten what you really look like.โ€

โ€œIs it really so dramatic?โ€ I asked while removing my makeup.

Thomas just smiled without replying. When I finished and revealed my natural face, he widened his eyes. He complimented me, โ€œMy Alpha is so beautiful, way more stunning than any of those movie stars.โ€

I laughed and playfully tapped his head. โ€œYou sure know how to flatter me. Did you bring my clothes?โ€

Thomas pointed to the back seat. โ€œYep, Iโ€™ve got them ready. I also brought a cap, in case we run into any reporters.โ€

โ€œAlpha, now that youโ€™ve reclaimed Harmonyโ€™s identity, those paparazzi will definitely be chasing after you.โ€

I reached back and felt the cap, putting it on. Looking in the mirror, I smiled. โ€œNot bad. Youโ€™re thinking ahead more and more.โ€

Thomas, pleased with the compliment, said proudly, โ€œOf course, Iโ€™m your right-hand man. I make sure everythingโ€™s in order.โ€

Thomas sped up, and we drove off. The sponsor arranged the dinner at an extremely exclusive restaurant that was only open to members, making it impossible for most people to get in.

โ€œIn room 333, Alpha, you go in first. Iโ€™ll park the car,โ€ Thomas said to me.

I got out of the car and walked toward the entrance. The waiter led me to room 333. As I got closer to the room, Hera grew increasingly excited. Her reaction made me nervous. Could Benjamin be nearby?

โ€œMiss, this is your room,โ€ the waiter said, opening the door for me.

โ€œThank you,โ€ I said, stepping inside.

The moment I saw the people inside, I froze. Is that really him? How did he end up here?
