Chapter 378: Her Dream
Hayleyโs POV
I spotted her and walked over. When Christine saw me as โHarmony,โ she was so overwhelmed she couldnโt speak. She just stood there, staring in awe. I smiled warmly, leaning in to hug her. In Hayleyโs voice, I whispered near her ear, โExcited?โ
The moment she heard my voice, she froze like a statue. She pushed me away, staring in shock and unable to believe what was happening. She pointed at me, her voice barely a whisper. โYouโฆyouโฆโ Christine stammered, unable to finish her words.
I smiled warmly and gently took her hand. Turning toward the audience, I spoke, โThis next song is dedicated to my special friend. I was surprised to learn that sheโs one of my fans. She once told me that meeting her idol was her biggest dream, and I want to help make that dream come true. So, this song is for her.โ
As the music began, I held the microphone and sang directly to Christine. She stood frozen, her eyes wide with shock and disbelief.
Christineโs POV:
I stared at the stunning Harmony in front of me, completely unable to process that my idol was Hayley. Was Harmony my close friend? How could that be possible? It had to be a dream, or maybe I was just imagining things. I pinched my thigh hard, and the sharp pain confirmed it wasnโt a dreamโit was real. Lucy, my wolf, also told me I wasnโt dreamingโHayley was indeed Harmony.
I looked back at Hayley, my heart swelling with joy, and couldnโt stop smiling. With excitement, I took her hand and focused on her as she sang. It was the surprise she had for me! It was truly more than I could have ever hoped for.
When the song finished, Hayley smiled at me and said, โThank you so much, my lovely fan. I have one more gift for you.โ A staff member then handed her a brand-new CD. โThis is a song I wrote just for you. Itโs yours?โ
I tucked the CD away, my heart full of happiness, and hugged her once more. โThank you, Hayley!โ I whispered. Hayley smiled and let go of me, watching as I left the stage. Feeling overwhelmed with excitement, I clutched the CD tightly as I made my way back to my seat.
Christopher, sitting beside me, frowned and asked, โSo how does it feel to meet your idol?โ I smiled quietly but didnโt answer him. He continued, โFrom the look on your face, itโs like this is even more exciting than winning a prize.โ I didnโt answer him, even though Lucy, my wolf, was unhappy with how I was acting.
โHis status is way higher than ours. You should be careful, or he might decide to teach you a lesson. Iโm no match for his wolf.โ But I ignored her advice and kept my eyes locked on Hayley on stage. I was still in shockโmy best friend was the celebrity I had admired all this time!
As I watched Hayley perform, I joined the other fans around me in cheering and shouting with excitement. Christopher, seeing I wasnโt responding to him, grumbled, โI honestly donโt understand what kind of charm she has to make you all go crazy like this.โ
When he spoke negatively about Harmony, I couldnโt hold back my frustration. โChristopher, shut up! Are you the only one whose fans are allowed to be this excited?โ I snapped, ignoring any sense of politeness. Lucy was startled, but I didnโt care.
Christopher didnโt argue back. Instead, he shrugged and said, โI didnโt mean it like that. Itโs just that these fans are a bitโฆover the top.โ I chuckled and asked with a grin, โDo you even know who Harmony really is?โ He looked confused. โWhat do you mean?โ
It hit me thenโonly I knew Harmonyโs true identity now. With a sly smile, I asked him, โDo you want to know who Harmonyโฆโ Christopherโs eyes widened as he leaned in. โWho? Tell me!โ I looked him in the eye and said calmly, โSheโs Hayley.โ
