Alpha Hayleyโ€™s Destined Mate

Chapter 449: Introduce My Fiancรฉ

Hayleyโ€™s POV:

I couldnโ€™t help but feel a surge of anger as I watched Kirsty stare at Benjamin with such a blatant, infatuated gaze. My hands clenched at my sides, my nails digging into my palms. She kept her focus on him, speaking as if I werenโ€™t even there, her voice dripping with curiosity. I narrowed my eyes, my tone cold as I spoke, โ€œKirsty, I donโ€™t think weโ€™re close enough for that.โ€

โ€œWhy would I introduce my fiancรฉ to you?โ€

Her face shifted slightly in surprise, but she quickly regained her composure. With a flick of her hair, she smirked before saying, โ€œWho says we arenโ€™t close? We just faced off against each other not long ago.โ€

Ignoring me completely, Kirsty turned her attention back to Benjamin. โ€œHey, are you from around here? What department are you in? Can I have your number?โ€ she asked, her voice light and almost flirtatious.

I felt a rush of frustration and instinctively tightened my grip on Benjaminโ€™s hand. He noticed my reaction and gave me a small, reassuring smile, trying to calm me down. But Kirsty, blissfully unaware of how irritated I was, only laughed in response. I had a feeling she mistook Benjaminโ€™s smile as an invitation to continue her advances.

โ€œHey, handsome, what do you say?โ€ she asked boldly, completely disregarding me as she continued her relentless pursuit.

Instead of answering her, Benjamin slowly turned to me, his voice calm but firm. โ€œThatโ€™s something Iโ€™ll have to ask my fiancรฉe about.โ€

Kirstyโ€™s face immediately faltered, her smile freezing. I hadnโ€™t expected Benjamin to respond like that, so calmly, and in such an indirect way. I shot him a look, pulled my hand from his, and snapped, โ€œIf you want to give her your number, then go ahead. No need to ask me.โ€

Seeing that I was genuinely upset, Benjamin quickly grabbed my hand, his expression turning serious. Then, his Alpha presence shifted, a forceful aura surrounding him. His voice was stern and filled with authority. โ€œI already have a girlfriend. Please stop bothering me.โ€

To my surprise, Kirsty didnโ€™t back off. Instead, she persisted, her tone dripping with sarcasm. โ€œYouโ€™ve only been together for a short time, right? How deep could your feelings really be? Someone like her canโ€™t possibly be your destined mate. You should explore other options before deciding who really suits youโ€”โ€

Benjamin interrupted her firmly, his voice brooking no argument. โ€œNo need for that. Iโ€™m sure. Sheโ€™s my destined mate.โ€

He turned back to Kirsty, his tone now commanding and filled with finality. โ€œIโ€™d appreciate it if you showed some respect and stopped pursuing other peopleโ€™s mates.โ€

Kirstyโ€™s face flushed a deep red with frustration. I could feel the intensity of Benjaminโ€™s Alpha energy, a presence so powerful that it seemed to freeze Kirsty in her tracks, leaving her speechless. With her standing there, stunned and speechless, I took Benjaminโ€™s hand and walked away without looking back. Though I could faintly hear her muttering something under her breath, I didnโ€™t pay it any mind.

โ€œIโ€™ll make sure to find a way to teach you a lesson, Hayley!โ€ she hissed, her voice full of bitterness. Her threats didnโ€™t faze me in the slightest. With Benjaminโ€™s arm linked with mine, we continued walking together.

After some time, I noticed that Benjaminโ€™s expression had softened, and a peaceful smile played at the corners of his mouth. He looked genuinely happy and at ease. At that moment, I stopped and let go of his hand. He looked at me, puzzled. โ€œWhatโ€™s wrong? Are you feeling alright?โ€

I bit my lip, shook my head slightly, and then looked up at him, meeting his eyes.
