Chapter 576: A Pack of Rogue Wolves

Hayleyโ€™s POV:

In a flash, several Jeeps suddenly appeared, blocking the road and trapping us. Thankfully, Benjamin reacted quickly, slamming on the brakes just in time to avoid a crash. Hera, my wolf, sensed the danger immediately, sending me a clear warningโ€”rogue wolves were nearby. Her instincts kicked in, shifting into full alert, ready for a fight. I reassured her silently, knowing Benjamin was an Alp. No rogue could ever stand up to him.

As the car stopped, a pack of rogue wolves emerged from the Jeeps, surrounding us like hungry predators. They bared their teeth, growling and snapping, their eyes glowing with hostility. I opened my mouth to speak, but before I could say anything, someone pushed through the crowd of wolves. It was Jonah. He stepped forward, standing directly in the headlights before jumping onto the hood of our car without warning. With a crazed grin, he pulled out a baseball bat and smashed it against the windshield.

Benjamin wasted no time, pulling me close to him and shielding me from the flying shards. Then, without hesitation, he helped me out of the car. As soon as we were on the ground, he stepped in front of me, his body tense, his eyes cold as he faced the rogues. His Alpha presence radiated from him like a wave of power. For a brief moment, the rogue wolves hesitated, unsure who would be the first to challenge him.

โ€œJonah, do you have a death wish?โ€ I snarled, my voice dripping with cold fury as I glared up at the man, who was laughing manically from atop the car. Hera growled in agreement, eager to tear into him.

Jonahโ€™s laughter grew louder, his body slumping onto the hood as though he had just heard the funniest joke. Amidst his laughter, he pointed at me and Benjamin, sneering, โ€œThis is the best joke Iโ€™ve ever heard! You? A worthless Omega? You think you can threaten me? Hah!โ€ He wiped away tears from laughing, then braced his hand against the car and jumped down.

With a swagger, he walked straight up to Benjamin, meeting his eyes with a twisted smirk. โ€œBenjamin, arenโ€™t you supposed to be the strongest and smartest Alpha?โ€ he taunted. โ€œAnd yet, here you are, right into my trap. Oh, and donโ€™t forgetโ€”tonight, you and your useless fiancรฉe wonโ€™t be leaving here alive. Meanwhile, Hayleyโ€™s just a pathetic Omega. Tell me, Benjaminโ€”are you really confident you can take us all on alone?โ€

Benjaminโ€™s hands tightened into fists, his golden eyes burning with rage. But before he could speak, I let out a low chuckle. โ€œOh? And what exactly do you want?โ€ I asked, raising an eyebrow in mock curiosity.

Jonahโ€™s grin widened as his eyes scanned me, his intent dark and unsettling. โ€œYou really donโ€™t know, sweetheart?โ€ he purred, licking his lips. Jonahโ€™s mocking tone continued, โ€œSouthwell Group is about to collapse. Midnight Pack wonโ€™t be safe either. Benjamin wonโ€™t be an Alpha for longโ€”heโ€™ll be a failure, washed up and forgotten. So why donโ€™t you do yourself a favor and leave him? Come with me instead.โ€ His grin grew wider. โ€œI guarantee I can make you feel better than he ever could.โ€

His filthy words sent a wave of fury through Benjamin. He let out an animalistic snarl, his body shaking as his wolf, Lawrence, threatened to take over. I leaned into Benjamin, my voice soft and steady, โ€œDonโ€™t worry. I have a plan.โ€

After calming Benjamin down, I turned back to Jonah, my lips curling into a dangerous smile. โ€œOh?โ€ I said, my voice dripping with mock curiosity. โ€œYou want to test that theory right now?โ€

Jonahโ€™s eyes burned with intensity, and his smirk widened as he took a step closer. โ€œOf course,โ€ he purred, โ€œIโ€™d love for us to have some good time!โ€

โ€œSure,โ€ I responded breezily.

Jonah blinked, thrown off by my easy agreement. Before he could even react, I swiftly pulled a silver needle from my sleeve and plunged it into his groin.

โ€œArgh!โ€ Jonah screamed in agony, his body jerking back as he clutched himself, overwhelmed by pain. His face turned pale as he stared at me, wide-eyed in disbelief. โ€œWhโ€”what the hell did you do to me?!โ€

I gave him a cold smirk. โ€œWerenโ€™t you begging for a good time? I just gave you one. Feels amazing, doesnโ€™t it?โ€

The needle was coated with a special toxinโ€”a gift Iโ€™d received from a witch a while back. The pain was excruciating. No matter how strong a werewolf is, healing from it is almost impossible. It was the perfect punishment for a scumbag like him.

Jonah was drenched in sweat, his face contorted in agony. But even through the pain, he still had the audacity to shout orders, โ€œYโ€”you lowly Omega! I swear by the Moon Goddess, I command youโ€”remove the poison now!โ€

I laughed quietly, my face unreadable. โ€œOf course,โ€ I said lightly. Then, with a cold smile, I tilted my head. โ€œCome here. Iโ€™ll remove it. If you dare.โ€
