Alpha Hayleyโs Destined Mate
Chapter 625: Get Out!
The tension in the room was palpable, and Justin quickly seized the opportunity to speak.
โDad, why are you being so stubborn? Hayley was just adopted; sheโs not really one of us. Her biological family has come for her, so it makes sense to send her back, doesnโt it?โ
โYouโve been lecturing me all this time, and now you want to act like this is okay, keeping something that doesnโt belong to you?โ
โShut your mouth!โ Bill snapped, his voice low and furious. โYou donโt get to have a say in this. I canโt even look at you right now. Get out!โ
โEnough with the โget outโ!โ Justin shot back, his frustration boiling over. โI may not be your favorite, but Iโm still your only son. You canโt just throw me out like this!โ
Justin was completely losing control, his pride forgotten. All that mattered was staying at the Carsonsโ and pushing Hayley out. He was convinced that if he could do that, the Alpha position in the Shadow Pack would eventually be his, as the biological son.
โYouโฆyou bastard!โ Billโs anger was so intense he could hardly speak. He slammed his cane on the floor, the sound reverberating through the room.
Seeing his opening, Alan spoke up, his voice smooth and calculated.
โBill, I shouldnโt get involved in the Carsonsโ matters, but it seems like Hayley staying here isnโt something everybody wants. Considering both options have their issues, it would make more sense for her to be with her real family.โ
Alan let his words hang in the air, his eyes deliberately flicking toward Justin. His message was clear: with Justin here, Hayley wouldnโt have an easy time staying at the Carsonsโ.
Hayleyโs POV:
As an Alpha, my senses were far more acute than most peopleโs, and my hearing was especially sharp. Even though I was in my room, every word they spoke reached me clearly.
When I heard Alanโs presumptuous plan, something inside me snapped. I couldnโt stay quiet any longer. I stormed out of my room and shouted, โYou donโt have to concern yourselves with my life!โ
I cast a cold glance over them all before speaking, my voice firm and resolute. โSince everyone is gathered here, let me say this once and for all. No matter what happens with my identity, as long as Grandpa and Grandma are here, I will stay with the Carsons, and I belong to the Shadow Pack! No one and nothing can change that decision!โ
โMichelle, no, Hayley, please donโt be upset!โ Virginia, who had been quiet until now, quickly stepped forward, her voice shaky as she tried to calm me down. โYour dad doesnโt mean any harm. He just wants to give you a proper title. You know those things are yours by right!โ
I met her eyes but said nothing in response.
At that moment, Alanโs phone rang, breaking the tension in the room. He frowned, checked the message, then suddenly stood up. Virginia leaned in, trying to see, but Alan quickly turned off his phone and shoved it into his pocket.
โWho was that?โ Virginia asked, clearly puzzled.
โItโs nothing. Just a junk message,โ Alan brushed off her question with a dark expression.
He turned to me then, his eyes narrowing as he spoke again, his voice cold and calculated. โSince you want to stay with the Carsons, weโll let things be for now. But the formal ceremony to officially bring you into the Sanders will still go ahead. As a member of the Sanders, you have responsibilities. Many wolves in the pack are waiting for you to lead them, and the future of the Sander Group relies on you. Michelle, Iโll be waiting for you.โ
With that, he turned and walked out, his long strides taking him out the door.
I watched him leave, my voice icy as I spoke, โThereโs no need for you to wait. Iโm not interested in anything to do with the Sanders. You can come here, but you canโt make me leave!โ
