Chapter 802: Why Is He Everywhere?
Hayleyโs POV:
โTrumanโs the Alpha of the Grimmoon Pack, and he actually showed up!โ
โI canโt believe the Sanders are connected to him. I never wouldโve guessed!โ
The guests broke into excited murmurs, their attention clearly fixated on Truman rather than me, the supposed star of the evening.
Annoyed, I followed their gazes and looked over.
Clad in a black suit and white gloves, Truman walked straight toward me down the red carpet, flanked by his assistants, Melody and Nelson.
I frowned in frustration. Why was he everywhere?
โMs. Sander, itโs been a while. I hope I havenโt disrupted your pleasant mood,โ Truman said, brushing past Alan to stop in front of me.
โYouโve definitely stolen the spotlight,โ I said with a glance of impatience.
Truman looked around at the crowd and smiled calmly. โBelieve me, Ms. Sander, with your charm, no one could ever outshine you.โ
โThanks for the flattery, but Iโm not in the mood to argue with you today. If you donโt have anything important to say, please stay as far away from me as possible, okay?โ
Little did I know that my irritation and our bickering looked like flirting in the eyes of the guests.
Assuming I was an Omega with weak hearing, they started whispering shamelessly.
โFrom the look of it, thereโs definitely something going on between Truman and Michelle!โ
โFar as I know, Trumanโs never been this close to any woman before.โ
โMichelle may be pretty, but sheโs just an Omega. Would Truman really be into her?โ
โThatโs hard to gauge. Even if sheโs a low-rank werewolf, the Sanders have power and statusโฆโ
I was this close to letting Hera take over and shut them all up.
That was when Alan cut in, saying to Truman, โMy apologies, Mr. White. My younger daughter tends to be a bit blunt. Please donโt take it to heart. How about you enjoy a glass of wine over there? Iโll personally go over later to apologize.โ
โNo rush,โ Truman replied smoothly as he took off his gloves. โI havenโt delivered my gift yet.โ
He gestured with one finger, and Nelson handed over a kraft envelope.
Truman handed it straight to Alan. โMr. Sander, this is a gift from me.โ
โA gift?โ Alan and I exchanged a look. That brown kraft envelope didnโt look like a present at all.
โThanks.โ Alan took the folder and opened it.
Guests around us leaned in, their eyes brimming with curiosity.
I crossed my arms and stared at that kraft envelope, eager to see what kind of trick Truman had up his sleeve.
Once Alan opened it, he pulled out a document.
โShare transfer agreement?โ he read the title out loud, and I froze.
โExactly,โ Trumanโs eyes gleamed as he looked at me, then turned back to Alan. โI came today to ask one of the Sanders daughters to become my Luna.โ
โAs a token of sincerity, Iโm transferring ten percent of all my assets to her.โ
The moment he said it, the entire room broke out in a clamor.
