Chapter 93: Your Voice Is Identical

Upon spotting him unexpectedly, I instinctively adjusted my mask, a deliberate gesture. โ€œCan I help you with something, sir?โ€ I asked, lowering my voice.

He replied, his voice filled with emotion, โ€œI wanted to know if you are Harmony.โ€

The realization that Benjamin might recognize me caught me off guard, but I quickly masked my surprise. โ€œSorry, but Iโ€™m not.โ€

The moment I finished speaking, I attempted to walk away, but Benjaminโ€™s grip tightened around my wrist. โ€œWhat are you doing, sir? Please let me go,โ€ I pleaded.

He looked at me with confusion. โ€œYou really arenโ€™t her? Your voice is identical.โ€

Sensing the tension, I hurriedly explained, โ€œI can just imitate her voice. Youโ€™re giving me too much credit; itโ€™s just a talent of mine.โ€

I couldnโ€™t tell if he bought my explanation, but he ultimately released my wrist. Not wanting to linger a moment longer, I quickly made my way through the crowd.

It wasnโ€™t until I bumped into Nueve that I finally exhaled a breath of relief. He rushed over, concern etched on his face. โ€œWho was that mysterious guy? Which pack does he belong to? What did he want from you?โ€

I didnโ€™t provide any details as I pulled Nueve outside, wanting to put distance between us and Benjamin. Once we stepped out of the bar, I let go of Nueveโ€™s arm. โ€œI need to head back. I have some things to deal with tomorrow.โ€

Nueve looked reluctant to part ways. He spoke earnestly, โ€œHarmony, did you notice how many people were enchanted by your music tonight? So many fans have been yearning for your return, even though youโ€™ve stepped away from writing and singing. They leave messages for you online every single day. Can you really just walk away from those who once cherished your talents?โ€

I pressed my lips together, unable to offer more than a whispered apology. โ€œI can only say Iโ€™m sorry to them.โ€

Nueve sensed the finality in my words, reminiscent of years past. Yet, he pressed on. โ€œRegardless, Harmony, weโ€™re all hoping youโ€™ll return and reclaim your former glory.โ€

I managed a faint smile, giving his shoulder a gentle pat in silence. โ€œPlease take me home.โ€

He drove me to Brocrone Hills, and just as he was about to leave, he said, โ€œIf inspiration strikes, donโ€™t hesitate to reach out. Iโ€™ll always be here for you.โ€

I waved goodbye and stepped into the villa. Fortunately, Benjamin hadnโ€™t returned yet. I headed to my room, washed up, and settled into bed.

Chapter 93: Your Voice Is Identical

The Math Olympiad was the following day, and I awoke early, realizing that Benjamin hadnโ€™t come back the entire night. I dismissed the thought, knowing he was a true Alpha. Even if he was concealing his status, he wouldnโ€™t be in any real danger like I could be. After having breakfast, I set off for the exam venue.

Upon arrival, I spotted Trista and Lillian waving to me from a distance. โ€œHayley! Weโ€™re over here!โ€

I approached them. โ€œYou two are here early!โ€

Lillian beamed at me. โ€œWe arrived yesterday and tried some incredible street food from Northlipe last night!โ€

Curious, I asked, โ€œWhich testing room are you in?โ€

Lillian checked her exam card. โ€œRoom 7. How about you?โ€

โ€œIโ€™m in Room 21.โ€

Trista chimed in, โ€œWhat a coincidence! Iโ€™m next door in Room 20.โ€

As we continued chatting, we entered the building. Just as we neared the exam rooms, Jeremy approached and handed me a prepared exam kit. โ€œHereโ€™s a 2B pencil and a gel pen I got for you.โ€

I glanced at it, surprised. โ€œThatโ€™s not necessary; I brought my own.โ€

But Jeremy insisted, pressing the stationery bag into my hands. โ€œSee you after the exam.โ€

I was taken aback, and Lillian and Trista exchanged curious glances. โ€œHayley, whatโ€™s going on between you two?โ€ they pressed.

I shrugged, just as confused. โ€œNothingโ€™s going on.โ€

Trista and Lillian clearly didnโ€™t believe me and continued to pry. I lightly tapped their heads in frustration. โ€œSave the gossip for later and focus on the Math Olympiad.โ€

Lillian opened her mouth to ask another question but stopped under my annoyed stare. โ€œI bet he has feelings for you,โ€ she teased, sticking out her tongue and waving goodbye as she headed toward her exam room.

Trista added quickly, โ€œDonโ€™t let her get to you! Good luck!โ€ before waving and walking away.

As I watched them leave, I glanced down at the stationery bag in my hand, pondering. Could it be that Jeremy had actually fallen for me? But what would he see in me? I had never revealed my true identity to him, and with my appearance and status as an Omega, I couldnโ€™t fathom why he would be drawn to me.
