Chapter 127

The night passed peacefully. Natasha enjoyed her coffee at Java Joys while flipping through documents. She looked worn out after staying up all night.

"Natasha!" Quentin and Mr. Wangley burst through the door.

"What is it?" Natasha didn't even glance up, continuing to flip through the documents.

Bang!

A wooden box was slammed onto the table. It opened, revealing a single white pill.

"Check this out, Natasha. Do you know what it is?" Quentin pointed at the pill, his tone demanding.

"How would I know? You tell me," she said lazily.

"Hah! You can't even recognize Eternumax?" Quentin looked unimpressed.

"So this is Eternumax. Well, what about it?" Natasha asked, unconcerned.

"What about it?! You have the gall to ask me what about it? I bought this Eternumax from the Hummers! They've managed to manufacture it! Are you aware of that?" Quentin raised his voice.

"Oh? So what? Isn't it only a matter of time?" Natasha remained calm.

"What is this attitude? Do you not see the severity of the situation? The Eternumax the Hummers produced has shown phenomenal results, and many of the rich and powerful have already placed orders. Its price has skyrocketed; they're now worth a whopping 500 grand per pill!" Quentin looked exasperated.

"Oh? So?" Natasha remained unfazed.

"An object's value is proportional to its rarity. Eternumax is monopolizing the market because no other medications can compete yet. But once the Hummers start producing it, we will be severely affected!" Quentin sharply rapped on the table.

"What exactly are you saying?" Natasha countered.

"You are now left with two choices: develop Eternumax as soon as possible, or collaborate with Edwin Hummer!" Quentin announced decisively.

"Our research findings on Eternumax have been stolen. It's too late to start over. As for working with Edwin Hummer, that's impossible," Natasha flatly refused.

"You disagree with both options, but you don't have a solution, do you? The family places such importance on you, and this is how you repay us?" Quentin questioned aggressively.

"I have my way of dealing with it. You don't have to worry," Natasha remained undisturbed.

"This concerns the family's gains. I will not allow you to mess around! If you do not come up with a satisfactory solution in three days, do not blame me for reporting you to the board!" Quentin declared.

"Do as you wish," Natasha shrugged nonchalantly.

"Fine! Just you wait!" Quentin scoffed before leaving. He believed Natasha was bound to lose this time. Once she messed up, the family would need a scapegoat, and he would have an excuse to force her out.

Shortly after Quentin left, Ruth ran in.

"We did it! We did it!" Ruth exclaimed, excitedly looking for Natasha.

"Did what?" Natasha looked up, bewildered.

"The Immortunol! Dustin managed to produce the Immortunol!" Ruth pulled out a small bottle and poured out a green pill. The pill was bright and clear, lustrous, and even slightly fragrant.

"Oh? This is Immortunol?" Natasha looked astonished. Appearance-wise, the pill looked attractive, like a pearl.

"It tastes really good too! Would you like to try it?" Ruth gushed, showing it off like a precious treasure.

"It tastes good? Do you think this is some kind of snack?" Natasha was unsure what to make of her sister's comment. Still, she picked up the Immortunol and swallowed it.

It dissolved instantly, a cool sensation flowing through her body. A tingling sensation came over her, and she felt rejuvenated. All her exhaustion dissipated. She was refreshed and energized!

"Immortunol is amazing indeed!" Natasha was awestruck. She was in disbelief at its immediate, palpable effects.

"Sis! Your face! You look like you've aged backward! Your complexion looks much brighter too!" Ruth cried out in surprise.

"What are you blabbering about? That's impossible!" Natasha rolled her eyes, skeptical.

"It's true! Take a look in the mirror if you don't believe me!" Ruth produced a compact mirror.

"What?" One look in the mirror shocked Natasha. Her complexion had improved. Even the dark circles under her eyes, from staying up all night, had disappeared. Her skin felt bright and hydrated.

"My goodness! This is miraculous!" She touched her face in disbelief. One Immortunol had rejuvenated her, removed her dark circles, and improved her skin, making her look much more alluring. Its beautifying effects were a game-changer!

"How is it? I wasn't lying, was I?" Ruth looked pleased. She had been assisting Dustin since they obtained the Blood Luminianth Root the previous day and believed she played a part in the Immortunol's production.

"It's great, isn't it!" Natasha grinned, momentarily lost in thought. Frankly, she hadn't expected them to produce the Immortunol, but Dustin had proven her wrong again. He was truly their lucky star!

"Sis, Immortunol not only has superb effects, but its production cost is much lower than Eternumax. We spent 5 million dollars on the Blood Luminianth Root, which Dustin diluted with water, and now that can last us years!" Ruth's statement was incredible news.

"Really? That's wonderful!" Natasha's spirits lifted. Based on her experience, she was sure Immortunol's effects far surpassed Eternumax's. Furthermore, controlling its production cost would be a breakthrough! It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that once Immortunol hit the market, it would cripple Eternumax.

"Ruth, we need to keep Immortunol a secret."

"Why?"

"Edwin is having a press release for the launch of Eternumax in a few days. We have to surprise him and hit him where it hurts. It'll give him a huge shock in front of the press!"
