Chapter 257
"Uh" Isfrid was bewildered by the head at her feet. Who would have imagined that the mighty and incomparable Darkwrath would be killed so easily? He was ranked eighth among the Hundred Immortals! He had single-handedly decapitated the entire fifth team. It was preposterous that he could be killed with one sword strike.
"What?" Looking at the headless body, Fletcher was equally taken aback. He knew Dustin was strong, but not this strong. With a single sword strike, he had killed Darkwrath, ranked eighth among the Hundred Immortals. Only Judge, ranked third, seemed capable of suppressing such formidable strength.
"You you killed my brother?" Lightwrath finally stood, his pale face ghastly. He had allowed his brother to play his game of cat and mouse, believing victory was assured. He hadn't expected a highly skilled martial artist to be among them, much less to cause his brother's demise.
"I gave you both the opportunity to attack together. He's the one who didn't appreciate it," Dustin replied flatly.
"You're seeking death!" Lightwrath flew into a rage. He drew two pistols and charged violently.
"All of you, go!" Fletcher commanded.
The remaining highly skilled, ranked martial artists joined the fray, flanking Lightwrath to protect him as they surged forward, attempting to encircle Dustin. From their perspective, even if Dustin's skills were formidable, he couldn't withstand their combined assault. After all, he only had four limbs.
"It's over. It's really over this time!" Isfrid grew increasingly worried as she watched the Hundred Immortals join forces. Although surprised by Dustin's performance, she knew victory and defeat in battles between skilled martial artists hung by a thread. Dustin could win a one-on-one fight, but against numerous opponents, only death awaited him.
"Hmph!" Faced with the approaching Lightwrath and his group, Dustin remained still and swung his sword again. With a sharp whistle, the sword gleamed through the air.
Lightwrath and the others seemed cursed, their movements freezing. Their legs buckled, and they collapsed to their knees. Then, heads rolled onto the ground in succession, splattering blood everywhere.
Immediate silence descended. Isfrid and the other shadow guards stared in shock and disbelief. If Darkwrath's death was an ambush or surprise attack, this was sheer strength. A single strike had slain several Hundred Immortals. It was terrifying.
Chapter 257
Isfrid felt shame at having looked down on him. She was the true fool.
"Release her, or die!" Dustin ignored the corpses, staring intently at Fletcher as if he were already dead.
"How could you?" Fletcher broke out in a cold sweat, terrified. Dustin's prowess revealed a completely new and frightening dimension to the man.
"Release her!" Dustin repeated, his tone direct and domineering.
"You just you wait!" Fletcher panicked, rushing into the villa.
Hummer Villa was vast, encompassing an entire hill. While chaos reigned outside, inside, music and wine flowed freely. Esteemed guests were gathered at the Hummers' party, their attention focused on Joshua and Jade.
