Chapter 39
Before Trevor's death could be laid to rest, a surprising announcement was made the next day. The Harmon family had chosen a partner, and today marked the opening ceremony of their new company. The news was met with widespread congratulations.
At 8:00 a.m., luxurious cars were already gathered at the entrance of the Emerald Building. However, Natasha, a key attendee, was absent. Instead, she was leisurely enjoying coffee at a local shop.
"Over here, Mr. Rhys," she said, jumping up and waving as soon as she saw Dustin enter. "Isn't today the opening ceremony of your new company? Why did you want to meet here?"
Dustin sat across from her. Natasha wore a white blouse and skirt. Her dark hair was tied in a bun, making her appear even more mature. Her blouse was tightly fitted.
"It's only the opening ceremony," he replied. "A date with you is far more important." Natasha winked teasingly. Her fiery red lips were alluring.
"Ms. Harmon, stop joking. Let's talk business," Dustin said, becoming flustered.
"Alright, I won't beat around the bush," she smiled. "Mr. Rhys, does Trevor's death have anything to do with you?"
"Why do you ask?" Dustin raised an eyebrow.
"I'm just curious. Although Trevor was a reckless man, he had many powerful associates. Killing him wouldn't be easy. I've been thinking, and it seems only you, Mr. Rhys, had the means to do so," Natasha mused.
"Haha! Ms. Harmon, you think too highly of me," Dustin laughed, evading a direct answer.
"Trevor's death is inconsequential; it won't significantly affect the situation in Swinton. The problem lies with the men behind him," Natasha continued.
"Are you talking about Edwin Hummer?"
"He's one of them. But he won't risk himself because of Trevor. He's easier to handle."

"Do you mean Trevor had other patrons?"
"That's right. He had a brother, Travis, a powerful lieutenant. He shouldn't be underestimated!" Natasha's tone was grave. Even the Harmon family hesitated to confront those with military connections. This was why she hadn't retaliated immediately after Trevor's kidnapping.
"Thanks for the warning, Ms. Harmon. I'll take note of this," Dustin nodded, grateful.
"Oh, there's also another matter," Natasha changed the subject. "Regarding the ambergris, I have the results. The investigation revealed that Mr. Lawson is the one who drugged me."
"Mr. Lawson? What's his background?" Dustin asked.
"This man is like Trevor—Edwin's right-hand man. However, his identity is shrouded in mystery. He operates behind the scenes, advising and engaging in shady activities."
"What are you going to do?"
"I want to cripple Edwin and teach him a lesson! But my men can't handle someone like him, so I need your help," Natasha pleaded softly.
"Lure him out, and I'll create an opportunity to deal with him," Dustin replied casually.
"Thank you, Mr. Rhys!" Natasha smiled. "I've invited Edwin to the company opening today. Mr. Lawson will also be there. You can execute your plan then."
"Okay," Dustin nodded.
"Mr. Rhys, it's almost time. Let's go."
They didn't linger. After finishing their coffee, they headed toward the Emerald Building.
A large crowd gathered in front of the building. As they exited their car, they saw Dahlia and her family entering. Dahlia was part of the new company, so the presence of a Nicholson family representative wasn't surprising.
"Dustin, why do I keep running into you?" a voice called from behind.
Dustin turned to see Chris Nolan.
