Chapter 49
"I'd advise you not to do that, or you'll regret it," Dustin said calmly. Chris had always been a joke to him.
"Ha! I know you practice martial arts, but it's not enough to defeat the men I hired. They're all experts. Besides, even if you can fight, you'd only get chopped up!" Chris smiled coldly. Hand-to-hand combat was a completely different matter from armed combat. He refused to believe Dustin could survive a weapon.
"Hey! We saw him first! You'd better stand aside!" the twins yelled, referring to Dustin. They initially thought Chris and his men were Dustin's backup.
"Who are these two idiots? Step aside, or we'll deal with you too!" Chris glared at them and roared.
"Deal with us?" Liam and Noah glanced at each other and chuckled. "Haha! We haven't met someone as fearless as you in some time. Come, let's see what you and your men can do." They made taunting gestures.
"F***! You're asking for it! Kill them all!" Chris immediately gave the order. His men, armed with knives and steel poles, stormed forward.
"We should warm up," Liam and Noah grinned, stepping forward.
What happened next shocked Chris to the core. The twins, using only their fists, viciously attacked Chris's men. They moved with lightning speed, their punches incredibly powerful. Each strike took down a man; some died instantly. Chris realized something frightening: their hands seemed to be made of metal. One punch could create a hole in a wall; one kick could bend a steel rod in half. These people weren't human; they were monsters!
In a few minutes, Liam and Noah defeated all the thugs. Their strength was astonishingly overpowering.
"How is this possible?" Chris's lips quivered. He never expected these two ordinary-looking men to be so powerful.
"What a bunch of trash! I haven't even finished warming up!" Liam and Noah were unsatisfied. They turned to Chris, who stumbled backward in fear.
"Coward!" They ignored Chris and turned to Dustin. "Now it's your turn. I hope you can surprise us. Otherwise, this will be too easy."
"Bring it on," Dustin said, his expression unwavering.
"Liam, let me go first!" Noah chuckled and leaped forward.
Chris, previously terrified, now felt excited. He saw that their target was Dustin. Although his men were defeated, he'd be glad to see Dustin beaten. He looked forward to it, remembering the twins' earlier performance.
"Dustin Rhys, aren't you good at fighting? I'd like to see how you escape these two monsters!" Chris laughed gleefully.
Noah attacked. His body arched, and with sudden force, he sprang forward like a cheetah, slamming into Dustin.
As Chris gloated, Dustin moved. With lightning speed, he grabbed Noah's neck and threw him into the wall. There was a loud explosion as Noah's body made a hole in the wall.
Noah groaned, dizzy and weak. His bones felt shattered; he couldn't move. He'd lost the fight in one move.
Dustin glared coldly, holding Noah effortlessly in one hand.
"Stop it!" Liam shouted in shock. He punched Dustin's back.
A muffled thud followed. Dustin remained firm, but Liam was sent flying, landing harshly on a concrete wall. He spat blood. Horrified, he realized his arm was shattered, and he'd suffered severe internal damage. Uncontrollable energy surged through him like a wildfire. He spat out more blood.
Chris was dumbfounded. It was as if he'd seen a ghost. He never imagined the seemingly invincible twins would be defeated so quickly. They hadn't even made significant moves. How could this be?
Chris's face turned ashen; cold sweat dripped down his back. He'd been so sure of the twins' ability. Liam and Noah had easily taken down twenty people before. He'd never seen such dauntless fighters. Logically, they should have easily dealt with Dustin. How had they failed so completely? If the twins were monsters, then Dustin was a beast among monsters.
