Chapter 101
Henry was physically and mentally exhausted.
"Then what should we do?" Hannah panicked. She had been so unlucky recently that she suspected she might die at any moment. Now that she thought about it carefully, everything had gone smoothly for her ever since she put on Odalys's emerald pendant. Now, she panicked, thinking Odalys definitely wanted to harm her.
Henry said viciously, "I'll get Atlas and Sophia to find an opportunity to knock Odalys down during the variety show and see if they can snatch the emerald pendant back. Anyway, this variety show will only last for a week. There's still time."
"Otherwise, let's go up the mountain to look for her mentor. Didn't Odalys grow up on the mountain? If she doesn't cooperate, we can kidnap her mentor." He wasn't averse to such methods.
Hannah became increasingly excited. "Yes, kidnap her mentor! Wasn't that emerald pendant a gift from her mentor? Tie him up and make him help our family. Henry, arrange it now. Kidnap her mentor tomorrow!"
"With her mentor as a hostage, she won't dare disobey us. She's married into the Stewart family; she's one of them now. Now that our family is in trouble, as long as the Stewart family helps, our family will succeed!"
Ignoring the pain in her body, she quickly sat up and pulled Henry's arm. "Henry, arrange for someone to bring her mentor here immediately!"
When Henry heard this, a hint of calculation flashed across his eyes.
"That's true. Odalys has escaped our control. If her mentor is in our hands, we can indeed control her," Henry muttered softly. He hadn't thought of this. Thinking of this, Henry quickly turned and picked up his phone to make a call. Hannah secretly heaved a sigh of relief when she heard him.
Unbeknownst to them, Finnian was standing outside the ward, listening intently to their conversation. Then, he turned and drove away.
In the middle of the night, at the Stewart Villa, in the quiet bedroom, Odalys lay on the soft bed, frowning in her sleep.
"No, don't..." Odalys struggled. She saw the Bennett family holding her down and forcing drugs into her mouth. She wanted to vomit, but Sophia kicked her to the ground.
"No!" Her eyes widened, her body stiffening. She couldn't move, as if all her strength had been drained. She tried to move, but Sophia lunged forward, a sharp dagger in her hand, slashing Odalys's wrist. Pain shot through her wrist; fresh blood gushed out, dyeing her clothes red. Sophia then forcefully stabbed the dagger into Odalys's calf, severing tendons in her hands and feet. Blood poured out.
"Odalys! She's going to commit suicide!" Sophia said, throwing the dagger away and retreating. She raised her hands, her voice low and shocked, "Odalys, why are you doing this?"
Just then, the door burst open. The Bennett family rushed in, enraged by the scene. Hannah stood at the back, hugging Sophia to comfort her.
"You still want to hurt Sophia? Shameless thing! It seems I haven't taught you a sufficient lesson!" Caspian rushed forward, grabbing and forcefully tearing her clothes, stunning everyone.
"What are you waiting for? Take a video!" Caspian ordered.
Odalys's eyes widened in horror. She retreated, but they stripped her naked. In despair, she gritted her teeth and jumped, her body falling heavily to the ground. Her head hit the floor, and blood gushed out.
Chapter 101 (continued)
Odalys woke up in bed, terrified. Cold sweat soaked her pajamas. She sat up and looked around.
"Am I dreaming?" she whispered. She quickly turned on the light and took a sip of water.
The door opened, and Percival walked in, wearing black silk pajamas. He stood there, looking at her.
"Mr. Stewart!" Odalys exclaimed in shock. She quickly put down her water, her hand reaching under her pillow where a dagger was hidden. In this world, she could trust no one. To protect herself, even in her room at the Stewart Villa, she kept a dagger.
"I heard your scream and thought something had happened. I came to check," Percival said hoarsely.
She looked at his sleepy black eyes; he'd clearly just woken up. After hearing his explanation, she retracted her hand and rubbed her forehead. "I just had a nightmare. It's nothing."
A trace of worry flickered in Percival's eyes.
"That's good. If anything happens, call me," Percival said in a deep voice.
After seeing her nod, Percival left. The moment the door closed, she was almost paralyzed with the lingering effects of her nightmare. However, she was even more determined to make the Bennett family pay for killing her in her previous life.
She washed her face, changed her clothes, and prepared to lie down when her phone vibrated. It was an unknown number.
"Who is it?" Odalys asked in a low voice.
Silence, then Finnian's voice: "It's me."
Odalys was about to hang up, but Finnian quickly said, "Don't hang up yet. I have something to tell you."
"What is it?" Odalys's tone was cold. She would never be soft-hearted towards someone who had brainwashed and depressed her.
"I can tell you, but you have to promise to be my woman," Finnian demanded.
Odalys found this hilarious.
"Get lost," she said coldly, hanging up before he could reply.
Finnian had been confident she'd be curious, allowing him to reveal the Bennett family's plan to kidnap her mentor, thus creating a debt he could exploit. He hadn't expected her to hang up.
"Damn it," Finnian fumed.
