Chapter 198

Obviously, Odalys told Rafael to get ready for his death.

“What do you want to know? What?!” Rafael panicked. He dreaded death, and that’s why he hid. To his astonishment, before death found him, a horrifying warning came first.

“No questions for now. Go home. Be frank with me when I ask you questions.” Speaking casually, Odalys walked away, chatting with an old acquaintance.

In contrast, Rafael was terrified. The pain in his body disappeared, but a sharper one awaited him.

“Oh, I won’t touch women again!” Rafael cried out in despair. He then ran home, pulling up his pants.

Back in his house, he took the phone hidden under his bed and dialed a number. The moment his phone rang, he felt a tingling sensation in his genitals.

“Ouch!” he groaned in pain. The sharp pain made him quickly hang up.

Gazing at his phone screen, he was convinced. He thought, She wasn’t bluffing. What she said is true. My genitals will fester if I send word. I will die.

Rafael pulled down his pants and looked at his genitals, which were red and purple, as if poisoned. The pain didn’t stop until he put his phone away. He didn’t dare take the risk again and no longer questioned Odalys’s ability.

Thinking of Odalys’ cold eyes, Rafael couldn’t help but shiver. He felt he now had a horrifying opponent. He didn’t stand a chance against her. He used to be the dictator of this village; because of Odalys, he lost his power.

Rafael stretched and found that all the pain was gone, and his broken bones no longer hurt. He cursed in a low voice, “Damn it! How…”

Outside the house, Odalys listened to the sounds inside, hands on her hips. Hearing Rafael, she couldn’t help but burst out laughing. Her inference was right; Rafael would contact his boss behind the scenes when his life was in danger. That pill wasn’t poisonous but had a numbing effect. Rafael would believe the story when the pain in his body subsided. Besides, Odalys cast a spell on Rafael. If he contacted his boss, the spell would take effect. At worst, he would die from the call.

Odalys smiled. She would become the avenger of the victims if Rafael died. With this thought, Odalys went back happily.

Chapter 195

“We don’t cheat. There’s a lot for you to learn,” Stellan said, patting Francis on the shoulder.

“It’s clear you colluded to set me up!” Francis argued. He decided to quit.

Shortly after he threw the cards on the table, Odalys walked into the room. Hearing her humming, his eyes lit up. He trotted over like a puppy, circled her once, and asked, “Odalys, where did you go? Why are you in a good mood?”

“I had a stroll, and I found some food for dinner tonight,” Odalys said, placing her trophies on the table. She put some nuts aside.

“Where did you get the nuts?” Freya hurried over. She took a nut, pried it open, and ate it. Instantly, her eyes lit up. She gave Selah a handful. “Try them. They’re delicious,” Freya whispered. She cracked open another nut and held it to Odalys’s mouth. “Odalys, here you are!”

“Thanks,” Odalys said, quickly eating the nut. Instantly, her mouth was full of its aroma. The nut was more delicious than those sold in the supermarket. Without hesitation, Rafael took a handful of nuts.

“There are nuts!” Francis said, joining the women. Stellan followed suit. There was little food in the show, so the nuts were precious.

“I ran into a villager, and he gave us the nuts as a gift,” Odalys whispered. She was sophisticated.

“It seems there are good people in this village,” Selah said. She had dreaded the villagers after a few interactions with Rafael.

“Are you traumatized? Come on! There are few people like Sophia who think of nothing but hurting others,” Freya said sarcastically. She looked down on Sophia and disliked her intensely. In her opinion, Sophia was the most shameless person in the world.

“Why did you mention her? It’s inappropriate to speak ill of others on a live broadcast, but she disgusts me,” Selah said with contempt. Her aversion to Sophia was conspicuous. People in showbiz were good at disguising their feelings, seldom showing aversion even when they felt hatred. However, Sophia had gone too far. Without Odalys, Freya and Selah would have been raped by Rafael.

“It’s early. Do you want me to tell your fortunes?” Odalys asked, arms crossed, after glancing at her companions. Her words shocked them. They knew Odalys seldom took the initiative to tell fortunes, though she could. They didn’t want to trouble her, though they wished to know their futures.

“Ahem, may I…?” Francis quickly raised his hand. His face blushed slightly, his gaze evasive. He awkwardly said, “To be honest, I disliked you at first sight. I watched your shows and thought you deliberately stole the spotlight by turning on Sophia. After I joined this show, I found you carefree, sincere, and upright.”

The text has been significantly improved regarding grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Some ambiguities remain, particularly regarding the nature of the "pill" and the "spell," as the original text was unclear. The names are also inconsistent in the original – I have standardized them where possible, assuming similar spellings are intended.
