Chapter 265

Atlas faintly heard the sounds of impact and a woman pleading for mercy from within. He became anxious.

“Looks like someone tortured her,” Atlas said, rushing forward. Henry and Selah quickly followed; Francis, tall and long-legged, sprinted ahead. Seeing this, the police also hurried forward.

The live broadcast began, and media reporters quickly arrived. A large group rushed in, eager for the first scoop.

“Ah, please stop!” A woman’s scream echoed through the living room. Everyone stared at the talismans covering the ceiling. The wind blew them, causing them to flutter, while spirit dolls littered the floor, creating an eerie scene. The atmosphere was gruesome, almost hellish.

They walked past the spirit dolls; a woman’s scream followed by heavy breathing came from a corner. They turned to look. The bathtub was huge, water splashing onto the wet floor. A hand reached out, gripping the wooden barrel's edge.

“What’s that sound?” someone exclaimed.

Selah, Freya, and Henry, walking ahead, froze. Their phones, broadcasting the live feed, captured the scene in the tub. They stood stunned, unable to react.

“How… how is this possible?” Henry’s eyes widened in disbelief.

Sophia and Alden were pressed together; her body was covered in bruises. She tilted her head back, appearing pained yet almost enjoying it. She locked eyes with Henry, her mouth opening as if to scream, but Alden kissed her.

“This… this is too intense,” Selah gasped. “Oh my gosh. This is insane. What exactly are they doing?” she wondered.

“What’s going on?” Atlas and Caspian, pushing Hannah’s wheelchair, pushed forward. Unsure, they moved closer and froze at the sight in the tub. They'd expected compromising evidence against Odalys, but instead witnessed Sophia and a man having sex, seemingly consensual. Sophia appeared to be enjoying herself.

“Sophia’s shooting an adult film?” a reporter exclaimed, shocked.

Everyone froze. The police entered and fell silent. The Bennett family had reported Sophia kidnapped, suspecting Odalys’ involvement. Now, it seemed Sophia had simply gone on a date—to a secluded rural house. Whether it was youthful thrill-seeking or something else remained unclear.

“The Bennett family reported Sophia kidnapped. I don’t think that’s the case,” a police officer said seriously.

Their attitude shifted given the connection to Odalys, who had recently helped capture human traffickers, solving two major cases in two days. The claim that she'd kidnapped Sophia was taken seriously.

“Right. Odalys must have kidnapped Sophia. This guy’s clearly a rapist. She must’ve brought him here,” Atlas said instinctively. He noticed Caspian distancing himself. Caspian’s words from the previous night replayed in his mind, causing regret.

Aside from Atlas, no one from the Bennett family spoke.

“Is that so?” The police officer remained impassive, showing no intention of letting anyone leave. He intended to handle the matter publicly. Usually, the police would ask everyone to step back, but instead, they began questioning everyone on the spot.

Reporters raised their cameras. Sophia’s lips moved; meeting Odalys’ gaze, she blurted out, “She didn’t hurt me! I just took off my clothes, and he came in. I came here to buy talismans and kill Odalys. I want this bitch dead.”

Silence fell. The man on top of her twisted his face, stood up, and said, “Damn it, I just wanted to sleep with her.”

“I’m helping her. I’m cleaning out bad stuff from her body. It’s done,” he said, beginning to dress. He felt as if he’d been possessed; he wouldn't normally have said that.

Sophia was stunned, not understanding her outburst. Hearing Alden’s words, she realized she’d been tricked.

“He’s a liar! He’s not the one who cast the Love Spell!” Sophia screamed, scrambling to her feet and pinning him to the ground. She raised her hand to slap him, but a cold wind blew in from the window. Looking down, she froze, realizing she was naked, and fainted into Alden's arms.

The police rushed forward; the Bennetts paled. They'd intended to expose Odalys, but had stumbled upon an affair instead.

“Stop filming! Turn off your cameras!” Hannah shouted, snapping everyone back to reality. Henry tried to shut off the live feed, but his phone froze.

[Here! Sophia caught in an affair.] [She went missing, now found with someone else.] [Fuck, so hot. She even stood up naked.] [Is this appropriate? I thought she was innocent.] [Oh my gosh, this is shocking.] [She blames Odalys. Did Odalys force her to undress?] [This is ridiculous. Her chest is so small.]

The live chat erupted with laughter. No one expected such a dramatic scene. The Bennetts snapped out of it, but it was too late; Sophia had passed out. The police arrested Alden.

Chapter 265 (Continued)

Alden explained, “Sophia texted me, asking me to come buy talismans. I invited her over. Everything was her choice. She undressed and came to me. She didn’t resist. It was consensual.”

The police arrested Alden and sealed the house. Reporters scattered. The Bennetts draped clothes over Sophia. Caspian was injured; Henry’s hand was immobile. Atlas carried Sophia to the car.
