Chapter 29

(What exactly was going on between them that caused Sophia to act against Odalys? Was Sophia jealous of Odalys?)

As the fans chatted, Atlas hurried over. Seeing Sophia sprawled on the ground, with fresh blood seeping from her mouth, he quickly strode forward and helped her up. Lucian said, "Ms. Bennett was knocked down by a wild boar. Is she alright?"

Atlas turned livid. Remembering Odalys' earlier battle with the wild boar, he was consumed by anger and pushed through the crowd.

"Odalys, did you do this on purpose? Did you deliberately lure the wild boar here and injure Sophia under the guise of fighting it? She's such a sweet girl. What did she do to displease you?" Atlas roared. "You want to target her for the show, you want attention, don't you? Don't forget your contract is with the Bennett Group! You're my employee!"

Everyone was shocked. Stellan immediately stepped in front of Odalys, glaring at Atlas. "Before you hurl insults, Atlas, get the situation straight. Sophia led the wild boar towards Odalys, intending to attack her. Odalys almost died saving us. Now you're trying to smear her? Are you serious? Or do you think you can be unreasonable just because you're a Bennett? Many witnesses saw what happened; you can't twist this."

Atlas, stung by Stellan's words, retorted through gritted teeth, "Stellan, don't think you can conspire together just because you're in the same group."

Freya, seething, stepped forward, grabbed Sophia's arm, and forcefully threw her in front of Atlas. "Sophia, do you dare swear you didn't lure the wild boar? Group A has a photographer; let's check the footage. Atlas, you're her lapdog, biting people for no reason! We're all here for the show. You play your games, we do ours. You're slandering Odalys and using her contract. Does she deserve to die because she signed with you? Does she deserve to be attacked by Sophia's boar? How much did you pay her? She was an extra, running errands for you, buying coffee. Was her life worth that payment?"

Atlas was speechless. He realized he'd been too impulsive. The livestream was still going; he'd be roasted online.

"Mr. Bennett, was that kick too soft? You threatened me in the bathroom, using the contract. You signed a six-month probationary agreement, calling it compensation, but made me work like a maid. Fine. The contract ends in half a month. Don't guilt-trip me! You don't have the final say." Odalys stepped forward, revealing a bloody dagger.

Seeing the dagger, Atlas recoiled. Remembering how she'd used it on the boar, he felt a chill and shrank his shoulders.

"You, Sophia, and Finnan have been causing trouble. I'll expose your dirty laundry," Odalys sneered.

Atlas's eyes burned with hatred. He grabbed Sophia's wrist. "Let's go."

"Atlas, it's my fault. I'll apologize," Sophia sobbed.

Atlas's fury grew, but he couldn't escalate things further. He'd planned to control Odalys on the island, but she'd slipped his grasp. He swore to keep her within the Bennett family, forgetting she'd married into the Stewart family and was no longer connected to them. He deliberately ignored this fact.

Meanwhile, at the Bennetts' villa, Hannah watched the live stream, snacking while wearing a face mask. A wild boar appeared on screen, terrifying her.

"Caspian, a wild boar! How could there be a wild boar?"

Caspian, carrying coffee, and Henry, who'd just returned home, rushed over. The Bennetts' businesses were facing difficulties, and this added to their stress.

"How come? What are the staff doing?" Caspian spilled his coffee in shock.

They watched as Sophia whispered with Atlas, discussing luring the wild boar towards Odalys. Hannah was shocked.

"So typical of Sophia," Caspian said triumphantly. "She knew Odalys, being from the mountains, wouldn't die even if injured."
