Chapter 307
“Is it because I’m not as famous as Odalys now? Or do you think Odalys is more useful to you than me?” Sophia asked softly, then walked toward Caspian. She stood before him, raised a hand to his chest, and gently rubbed her fingertips against it. When her hand touched his chest, he grabbed her wrist.
He squeezed hard. Sophia’s eyes widened in disbelief. The next second, he increased his grip and forcefully threw her toward the corner of the table. With a bang, she hit the table, her skirt lifting to reveal ambiguous marks.
The room fell instantly silent. Hannah and Atlas were stunned. They turned to see Sophia fall.
Atlas tried to help, but Caspian grabbed his arm.
“Caspian,” Atlas frowned.
Caspian met Atlas’s gaze. “Do you like her?” Seeing Atlas’s flustered expression, Caspian sneered. “It’s best you don’t! It’s her fault the Bennett Group is in this situation! If she hadn’t targeted Odalys and deliberately tried to push us into the spotlight, would our family be facing this crisis?” Caspian said coldly.
Hannah remained silent, Sienna’s words echoing in her ears. She and Sienna hadn’t gotten along, but now, Sienna was the only one who had offered help.
Sophia sobbed, “Mom, look at Caspian! Why did he push me? I knew something had happened to the family and rushed back from the hospital. What did I do wrong? Why are you blaming me for everything? This has nothing to do with me!”
Atlas’s heart shattered at her crying.
“Enough!” Hannah said, clutching her phone and glaring at Sophia. “What else do you want! The Bennett Group is already in turmoil!”
Sophia froze, forgetting to cry. She collapsed to the ground, her body throbbing with pain. The family that once doted on her now readily cast her aside. A chill ran through her.
“Fine. You all think it’s my fault! I’ll leave then,” Sophia said, painfully pushing herself up and ignoring the pain. She deliberately slowed her pace, looking back to see that none of the three had followed.
Sophia stood alone, feeling as if everything were a dream. She laughed coldly, wiping away her tears. “Do they really not love me anymore? They didn’t even bother to come after me. Is it because I’m no longer useful to them, that they think they can discard me at any time?”
“You don’t care about me, right?” She went upstairs to her bedroom. The pitch-black room plunged her into thought, her mind replaying recent events.

“Hello, Dad, it’s me!” Sophia sobbed into the phone.
In Hannah’s bedroom, Atlas wanted to chase after Sophia, but Caspian stopped him.
“Caspian, what are you doing? What does this have to do with Sophia? Can you stop targeting her?” Atlas was dissatisfied. He felt bad hearing Sophia sob.
Caspian asked coldly, “Have you forgotten about Finnian? After drinking the water she gave him, he almost killed someone! Finnian was too close to her, which ruined his stardom. Do you want to be like him?”
Atlas’s lips moved, but he said nothing, shuddering at the thought of Finnian’s fate.
“Caspian, find someone to bail Henry out of jail. Keep it low-key,” Hannah whispered.
Caspian nodded. “Yes.”
After Caspian left, Atlas whispered, “Mom, is our family really going bankrupt? Mrs. Stewart is a widow; even if Henry slept with her, what could happen? Besides, isn’t Percival dead? Only Evander is left in the Stewart family. If Henry gets Mrs. Stewart pregnant, maybe the Stewart Group will be ours one day.”
Hannah felt sick. She and Edie were old friends, yet Edie had slept with Henry.
Hannah took deep breaths. “That wretch Edie! How dare she have designs on my son!”
Just yesterday, Hannah had discussed seducing Evander with Edie. Now, Edie had slept with her son instead.
“From now on, you are not to be too close to Sophia,” Hannah said.
Atlas was taken aback. He almost retorted but remained silent.
“You can go now. I need to think,” Hannah said wearily.
Atlas left. As he was about to knock on Sophia’s door, he faintly heard her flirtatious voice. His hand froze. He stood quietly, listening to her whispers, his irritation growing. After she hung up, he returned to his room.
At a VIP hospital ward, Sienna finished a call and looked at Dangelo Drake. “This call was made to provoke Hannah’s anger! Let’s see if she can keep her cool,” Sienna said coldly. She and Hannah didn’t get along.
Dangelo said, “You asked her to treat Odalys well, and she would definitely be angry. The Bennett family’s way of doing things is different from normal people. They don’t want their biological daughter, but they prefer to raise someone else’s child. Presumably, Sophia must have something extraordinary to offer. Otherwise, with the Bennett family’s profit-seeking nature, why would they help?”

Freya Winslow, Stellan, Francis, and Selah Rowe played cards in the ward. They’d gone to an interview and gone directly to the ward afterward.
“Dangelo, you are right. The Bennett brothers have been very close to Sophia all these years. If she didn’t have any skills, who would work for her?” Freya exclaimed.
