Chapter 326
She looked at Selah with a mix of swirling emotions. Fortunately, neither Selah nor she had died in this timeline. This hotel needed investigating. The fact that the other party had booked a room here and tried to lure Dorian suggested the hotel's owners might be involved in the Stewart family's affairs. This realization clarified her thoughts.
Odalys said, "If there's a problem with the hotel, we should investigate. We have time today; let's go with Dorian."
Freya and Selah eagerly volunteered. "I want to go too!" they exclaimed. Selah added excitedly, "Odalys, I want to go too."
Everyone was eager to witness the drama firsthand. "We'll leave in ten minutes," Odalys said.
Odalys continued her actions without pausing, simply replying, "Okay, I'm looking forward to it."
The other party replied instantly, clearly waiting for her response: "Babe, see you later! I'll make you the best cocktail you've ever had." Odalys saw the message but didn't reply, turning off her phone screen instead.
She sat lost in thought. Stellan said quietly, "If this hotel has issues, its entire system, including the staff, is compromised. If something happens, surveillance will be destroyed, or possibly it doesn't even exist."
As the Drake family heir, he'd matured rapidly after his parents' hospitalization following a car accident. His parents' warnings about Crownridge's deceptive peace, coupled with Odalys's words, confirmed his concerns. As the future heir of the Drake Group, his thoughts carried significant weight.
He said, "The mastermind behind this hotel likely wants to create the ultimate private sanctuary—a place with zero surveillance, where the staff never intrudes."
He added, "Even if something happens, no one will intervene. With no surveillance, even death leaves no proof. Even if the police get involved, everyone will deny it. This hotel becomes the perfect place for shady dealings—assault, murder, unspeakable transactions—no one would know." Odalys analyzed in a low voice. Her words held merit.
Selah said, "That's shady. It's no surprise Lucian always gets great resources after visiting that place. He kept trying to convince me to go with him, saying it was a fantastic environment, but I refused."
But Odalys remained silent. She knew Selah's mention was connected to her death. In the previous timeline, Selah was likely lured by Lucian. Instead of meeting Lucian, she encountered horrific methods. The abuse left her broken, and ultimately, unable to bear the humiliation, she took her own life. Several new employees at the hotel used similar methods.
Thinking of this, a brave battle ignited in Odalys's heart. In the previous timeline, Selah's might have been an isolated incident, but there were likely many other girls who suffered similarly, unable to speak out, enduring silently. If they persevered instead of waiting for it to end, there would undoubtedly be a second, and third, victim. Coerced into blackmail, forcing their victims into repeated compliance, some might even be coerced into luring others into the trap. These people might even use videos to lure victims.
The more she thought about it, the colder she felt.

"I'll make some arrangements," Odalys murmured.
The others immediately gathered, ready to go, with no one refusing. It seemed that since the start of their reality show, they had formed a close group, integrating into each other's lives.
"When the time comes…" Odalys lowered her voice.
After she finished speaking, Francis and Stellan exchanged glances and nodded.
Dorian anxiously asked, "What about me?" Feeling excluded, he didn't want these young people risking themselves on his behalf. The Stewarts didn't run from problems; that was his principle.
Odalys said, "Of course, you'll go to the meeting. He mentioned Room 878. You'll meet him there."
Dorian listened and nodded. He wouldn't refuse, dangerous or not.
Odalys asked in a low voice, "Dorian, aren't you afraid I'm setting you up? What if this is a trap? What happens if things go wrong?"
Dorian looked at her confidently. He said, "Mrs. Stewart, this situation is my fault. If they're using me to get information about the Stewart family, any consequences will be because of me. I can't run away from my responsibility out of fear."
Dorian added firmly, straightening his back, "If you're willing to stand up for me, I'll walk right into the trap willingly. Stewarts aren't afraid of death, but we'll never be cowards."
Freya nodded. She had kept her relationship with the Stewart family private and intended to keep it that way. The Stewarts were her adoptive family, and she saw Percival as a brother. Even if Odalys knew the truth about her adoption, she wouldn't disclose it publicly. Such titles were a burden; she preferred her current identity. She shared Dorian's respect for the Stewart family. Freya would hardly be alive if not for the Stewarts, Evander, and Percival.
"Okay, let's go," Odalys said. As she got up, she walked toward a cross above the fireplace and offered a prayer. The others quickly followed suit. After their prayers, they left.
Stellan drove off with Francis, taking a detour. Odalys, Selah, and Freya took their own car. Dorian went alone, following the GPS to the Monolith Hotel.
The hotel, located on the outskirts, was extravagantly decorated. As his car approached, music from the fountain speakers began playing, and the water jets danced in sync with the melody.
A security guard approached, polite and respectful. "Sir, do you have a reservation?"
"My friend booked a room," Dorian said.
As soon as he mentioned Room 878, Dorian noticed a flicker of hesitation in the guard's eyes. The guard opened the car door, saying, "Welcome, esteemed guest. Please, come inside." The guard personally led him into the hotel.

Inside, the opulent hotel gave Dorian an uneasy feeling. Though he was only a businessman, his authority was considerable, and he had visited many luxurious places. However, something felt off. The eerie quietness made his scalp tingle. From the moment he entered, it felt as if an invisible hand was pressing down on him, ready to shove him away at critical moments.
