As she finished, the scruffy man's face turned pale. His lips quivered, astonished by Odalys's knowledge.
Chapter 32
“It was Oliver who gave you the talisman. You approached Dorian while he was shopping, causing him to be influenced by its magnetic field and fall into your trap, right?” Odalys asked coldly.
The scruffy man, Federick Morgan, nearly fainted from pain and fear. He'd heard rumors of Odalys's formidable skills and predictive abilities. Initially skeptical, he now admitted her capabilities.
“It’s all Hannah’s fault! If you want revenge, go to her! Why are you targeting me?” Federick roared.
As soon as he finished, Dorian punched him. Federick's teeth were knocked out, his mouth filling with blood. He tried to speak, but blood flowed from his lips.
“Search him,” Odalys ordered.
Francis and Stellan quickly stepped forward, thoroughly searching the men. They found several items, including talismans on two of them. Odalys took the talismans and rubbed them between her fingers.
“They have talismans?” Selah asked in surprise.
Freya stood guard, her eyes darting nervously. “These are love spells! To think they obtained them when even Sophia couldn't after losing her virginity. Hannah doesn't trust Sophia much,” Odalys chuckled. The supposed favoritism towards Sophia was a facade.
“Odalys, what now?” Francis asked.
Odalys said thoughtfully, “Let’s restrain them. We’ll take them to Bennett Villa and hear Hannah’s side.” Stellan immediately responded, “Got it,” pulling two ropes from his bag. They tied the men securely.
Odalys burned the love spells, poured the ashes into water, and made the men drink it. The men protested weakly, struggling against being forced to swallow the mixture. Odalys casually set the cup aside. “Their hearts and minds will become perfectly synchronized.”
Selah's eyes lit up. “So they’ll be attracted to each other?” The thought thrilled her.
Odalys smiled, then turned and stepped outside. “Dorian, wait here. I’ll be back shortly.” Dorian hesitated, worry etched on his face.
Odalys reached the door and told him, “This room is the most dangerous in the hotel. Guard it. No matter what, don’t come in.” Dorian broke into a cold sweat but retreated inside.
Odalys slid the door shut and hurried down the hallway, with Selah leading the way. Selah trotted along, stopping at a door; an inexplicable tingling sensation, a feeling of being choked, and flashing images overwhelmed her.
“I’m not afraid,” Odalys said, her voice calm but firm. Her gaze was intense.
Chapter 328
She placed a reassuring hand on Selah’s shoulder. Odalys knew this was the room where Selah had died in the previous timeline. Perhaps lingering fear from that life made Selah tremble. The more Selah feared, the more determined Odalys was to help her.
“I’m not afraid,” Selah said, her voice wavering slightly.
At that moment, a man’s anguished cries came from inside the room. “It hurts! Stop! Please, Mr. Hecox, no more!” “Dammit, it was just a few hits!” “You agreed to this, and now you want to back out?”
The yelling intensified; the door swung open. Selah froze, but Odalys pulled her aside. Lucian appeared. Before he could move, several arms grabbed him. His screams echoed. “I was wrong! I was really wrong!” He pleaded, “You want Selah? I’ll call her! I’ll bring her here!” He continued, “It’s her fault! She betrayed me and helped Odalys set me up! I’ll contact that bitch!” “Don’t worry. She’s insecure and powerless; she’ll let you do whatever you want!”
Selah staggered, disbelief etched on her face. She never imagined Lucian would go this far. Judging by the voices, at least five or six men were threatening him; Lucian suggested luring her in as a way to appease them—a death sentence.
Selah’s phone vibrated; it was Lucian. The room fell silent.
“Go in,” Odalys said calmly. She already knew what was happening but wanted Selah to face it.
“Okay,” Selah nodded, her voice shaky but determined. She trusted Odalys completely.
As Selah stepped forward, Odalys stopped Freya. “Stay out here,” Odalys instructed. Freya wanted to protest but understood. Francis peeked into the room and gasped. Lucian was tied up, blood pooling on the floor.
“Hello, everyone,” Odalys’s voice rang out. “I happened to witness something wild; I couldn’t resist starting a livestream. Shall we take a look together?”
Chapter 328
Unbeknownst to Lucian, Odalys had started streaming the moment Selah stepped forward. Lucian’s attempt to escape, only to be dragged back, was caught on camera. It was noon, the lunch break for office workers. Odalys’s popularity skyrocketed after her live broadcast the previous night. Fans found her livestream more authentic than paparazzi photos, leading many to eagerly tune in.
