Chapter 348

Hannah tried to rush forward, but pain shot through her injured legs—still aching from the chandelier accident. After a few steps, she collapsed heavily to the ground with a loud thud.

Hannah cried out, tears streaming down her face as she looked up in disbelief. Brushing aside her disheveled hair, she stared at the two embracing figures before her: her husband, Windsor, and her adopted daughter, Sophia. Their actions far exceeded a normal father-daughter relationship.

Hannah, a woman of experience, understood what she was witnessing. Until now, she'd never noticed anything inappropriate between Sophia and Windsor. Now, everything felt wrong.

Windsor shouted, his fury escalating. "Hannah! Have you had enough of this? What did you do to the Bennett family while I was abroad? You've ruined the Bennett Group! It's bankrupt and deeply in debt! And look at this place—it's a mess! If I hadn't come back, the Bennett family would have fallen apart!"

He added coldly, "And you still have the nerve to criticize me? The entire Bennett family belongs to me! You were just the woman who climbed into my bed when I was drunk!"

"My parents generously welcomed you into our family, granting you the Bennett name. Yet you slept with me without my consent, became pregnant with my child, and used that to manipulate me into marriage."

Hannah's expression darkened. She hadn't expected Windsor to humiliate her like this in front of their children. Shocked, she struggled to sit up, saying, "Windsor, what nonsense are you talking about? If you didn't want it, could I have forced myself on you?"

"It was you who tempted me with alcohol and made me lose control, then used it to force me into marrying you. Why are you twisting this around?" Hannah's voice was filled with coldness and heartbreak.

Sophia watched them argue, a strange satisfaction evident in her expression.

"Stop it, Dad! He was just worried about you," Sophia said, stepping forward to help Hannah up.

As Hannah was about to stand, Sophia deliberately unbalanced herself and pushed Hannah forward. Hannah stumbled and crashed into Windsor's arms. She cried out in panic. To her shock, she caught a familiar scent—the same scent that lingered on Sophia. Hannah's expression froze as she noticed a lipstick mark on Windsor's neck, the same shade Sophia was wearing.

"Windsor, did you sleep with Sophia?" Hannah screamed, her voice breaking with anguish.

Caught in the act, Windsor shoved Hannah onto the couch and disdainfully brushed off his clothes. "You're crazy! Sophia is our adopted daughter. Stop slandering us!" With a dismissive gesture, he turned and walked upstairs.

Atlas watched his parents argue, feeling lost for the first time. His family had never been like this before. He remembered their loving past and wondered if Sophia was the cause of their downfall. He saw a smug smile on Sophia's face. When Sophia noticed his gaze, she quickly wiped it away and turned to him with a pitiful expression, tears welling up in her eyes.

"I I didn't seduce Dad," Sophia said, her voice trembling with feigned emotion as tears streamed down her face.

Atlas turned and saw a familiar figure emerging from a car. "You're the old man from the village where we filmed the variety show? What are you doing in my house?" Atlas asked warily. Although not the sharpest, Atlas wasn't stupid; Brandon's presence filled him with foreboding.

"Windsor!" Brandon called out to Windsor, who was about to go upstairs. Before Windsor could respond, another figure arrived—Rafael.

Brandon was pushed aside, and as he regained his balance, he saw Rafael. This was the same man who had been watching him in the village.

"What are you doing here?" Windsor's displeasure was evident. He stood still, his hand tightening around his car keys before slowly descending the stairs.

"Dad, do you know them?" Sophia asked, surprised. She looked at them, then back at Windsor, a chill running down her spine as she remembered Rafael constantly spying on her, even stealing her underwear.

"You're his daughter?" Rafael's surprise was evident when he heard Sophia call Windsor "Dad." Windsor stepped forward, his gaze cold as he faced Brandon and Rafael.

"Didn't I tell you? If there's nothing important, don't come back," Windsor said coldly.

Brandon and Rafael exchanged glances and were about to speak when Windsor interrupted. "Let's talk outside." As he turned to leave, Sophia quickly grabbed his arm. "Dad, do you know them? Do you know what this man did? He almost assaulted me!"

Rafael didn't seem offended. Instead, his gaze lingered on her, his hands rubbing together in a way that unnerved Sophia.

"Go back to your room," Windsor ordered, roughly pulling his arm away and heading for the door. Brandon and Rafael followed, leaving Sophia frozen, her hand still reaching for where his arm had been. She eventually followed them outside.

Outside the Bennett Villa, the moonlight cast long shadows. Windsor faced the two elderly men. "Why are you here? Didn't I tell you? If there's nothing important, don't come back."

"The villa's been tampered with," Brandon said.

Rafael added, "It's one thing that the villa was tampered with, but that woman she's your adopted daughter, right?" Windsor's brow furrowed.

Palari (presumably one of the elderly men) said, "I told you before, you shouldn't have touched her. It seems you did, and that's why the Bennett family"

Palari continued, "From what I know, the Bennett family is bankrupt, and today, your people were taken to the police station. Your family's fortune is drained. As long as the Bennett family is connected to the Beuwait family (spelling may be incorrect), it should be able to tap into their luck. But after your daughter was named off, your fortune has drained away."

"Did you sleep with her?" Palari asked Windsor pointedly. The passage ends abruptly.
