Chapter 559

Sophia's eyes met Odalys's, and Sophia panicked. She hurriedly rolled up the car window to block Odalys's gaze, but those eyes kept flashing in her mind. "She couldn't have seen me through such heavy rain from so far away. I must be imagining things," Sophia said, panicking.

Sophia had just seen Finnian being taken away. This meant Finnian's plan had failed. She had contacted Finnian earlier, hinting at cooperation, but he wanted her full involvement. He revealed his plans and asked her to observe the situation at that time.

Hence, Sophia passed by in a cab and witnessed the chaos.

"Could something really have happened to Finnian? Did the Lark family really give up on him?" Sophia murmured. She felt deeply distressed and uncomfortable.

Earlier, at Magic Entertainment, she had injured a fan who had unfollowed her—an act of impulsive anger. Afterward, she was filled with fear and regret.

After returning to the Bennett family, she had hidden her strength well. No one knew she possessed the strength to pierce a person's chest. However, she had just revealed this ability.

Sophia worried that the fans might notice and expose her. She felt restless.

Sophia hissed in chest pain. Blood oozed from the corner of her mouth, and she panicked. Odalys's image kept appearing in her mind—those cold eyes, like piercing needles, making her deeply uncomfortable. "Poof!" Sophia spat out a mouthful of blood.

The pain intensified. She had planned to team up with Finnian to kidnap Odalys and use this to approach the Stewart family. Unexpectedly, Finnian had gotten into trouble.

She had no choice but to return to the Bennett family, refusing to accept her predicament and questioning why she was left with no options.

Finnian had been her first devoted admirer, but only because of the Love Spell. His trouble meant the spell's effects were wearing off.

The terrified cab driver exclaimed upon seeing her collapse and vomit blood, "Hey, if you're going to die, don't die in my car!"

He immediately stopped the car, opened the back door, and dragged Sophia out, dumping her on the roadside. After checking for surveillance cameras, he spat at her.

"Why did you still take a cab when you're about to die? What bad luck!" the taxi driver muttered, leaving.

Sophia struggled, pleading for help, but her raised hand slowly fell. "Save—save me," she pleaded, unwilling to give up.

Sophia thought, "Why do I suddenly feel unwell? Could Odalys have done something to me when our eyes met? No. Odalys can't possibly be that powerful. I must be feeling unwell for some other reason!"

Sophia didn't dare dwell on it. She tried to stay conscious, but a wave of dizziness overcame her, and she fainted.

As she fainted, a figure emerged from the shadows.

"It seems you really do have a problem," Henry said with a sinister look.

He had been following Sophia and Hannah since Sophia left the Isuse with Hannah. After Hannah went into the hotel, he was about to leave when he saw Sophia attack her fan.

Before he could get a clear look, blood seeped from the fan's chest. When Sophia fled, there was blood on her hands, but she wasn't carrying any weapon.

His suspicions intensified. Following her, he discovered she was secretly contacting Finnian, and that they seemed to have reached an agreement.

He was still wondering about Finnian's usefulness when news broke about the incident at the police family compound. Finnian was covered in blood as the police took him away.

Henry was filled with regret. He suspected Sophia was more cunning than she appeared. Perhaps Finnian's actions were orchestrated by her. If so, he wondered how she had managed to seem so innocent.

Moreover, with the Bennett family's downfall, Sophia was secretly seeking a way out. He didn't understand why she remained at the Bennett Villa.

Caspian's words echoed in Henry's ears: "Henry, think about it. Why did Mom and Dad adopt Sophia? She and Odalys are both girls. Why would our parents abandon their biological daughter and adopt Sophia?

"Even if they wanted to adopt Sophia, they could have done it directly. Why go through the trouble of abandoning and attempting to kill Odalys? Don't you find that strange? After Odalys returned, Sophia became unlucky.

"I think there's a conflict between them, and Sophia is a bane. I suspect someone might have deliberately arranged for her adoption. There might be a conspiracy."

Initially, Henry hadn't believed it, but now, after following Sophia, he was starting to believe Caspian.

No matter how strained their relationship, blood was thicker than water. They were family after all.

Henry's phone vibrated. He answered Caspian's call: "Henry, how did it go? Did you notice anything unusual? Sophia isn't simple. She's been currying favor with Mom since last night."

"I noticed it," Henry replied in a low voice. He never thought he, the CEO of the Bennett Group, would be manipulated by Sophia.

"You mentioned she hurt that fan. I checked, and the wound looked similar to the one on Atlas's chest. Henry, I think you need to come back. We brothers need to discuss things," Caspian said.

He had always avoided getting involved, rarely opening up to Henry like this.

"Okay." Henry's brown eyes dimmed.

After hanging up, Henry crouched to pick up Sophia when she suddenly opened her eyes. Their eyes met, and Henry felt his mind go blank.

"You," Henry tried to speak, but couldn't.

Henry clutched his throat and collapsed. He saw Sophia get up, smile, and walk towards him.

"Henry, what are you trying to do?" Sophia asked with a smile, her eyes filled with innocent confusion.

Sophia pressed against Henry's legs, crawling towards him. Leaning forward, she whispered in his ear, "Are you trying to join forces to plot against me? Too bad, I'm going to disappoint you."

Her hand rested on his chest, gently moving downwards. With a ripping sound, his shirt tore open, revealing his chest. Sophia stared at his chest with a sinister look, poking it lightly.

"No!" Henry cried out in fear.

Laughing, she covered her mouth and teased, "Henry, why are you so nervous?"

She rose to her feet, glanced back at him with a smile, and tossed something at him. Henry froze, unable to react before
