Chapter 573

This was no ordinary feat. Normal people couldn't even approach it, let alone manage it and block the water.

A thought struck Selah. "When Odalys hit someone just now, could she have been punishing them?"

While tying her hair up, Freya ate a piece of chocolate. "That might be the case," she said. "I've seen that in novels and TV shows. Someone can strike from afar after drawing a figure and writing down astrological signs. She kicked and slapped the air; it was like a scene from a TV show."

Francis and Stellan were dumbfounded, having arrived too late to witness the event.

While the others removed their makeup, Odalys went downstairs. She drove swiftly to the hospital's VIP lounge.

Pushing open the door, she saw Percival alone on the sofa. Fruits, snacks, and a pile of documents lay on the coffee table. The light was on. Percival sat with furrowed brows, reviewing a document, a golden pen poised between his fingertips. The lounge was quiet except for the rustling of papers and the scratch of his pen. She entered quietly.

Percival looked up sharply, his eyes widening at the sight of Odalys. He quickly set aside the document, his joy evident in his relaxed expression.

"Odalys, you're back?" he asked, beckoning her to sit. He gathered the snacks and fruits, offering them to her.

Odalys peeled an orange and leaned closer. Percival explained quickly, "I've taken care of everything."

He was extremely busy. The Stewart family's business was immense, requiring him to process overwhelming amounts of documents daily. Callum used to help, but now, with Callum injured and unconscious, the burden fell solely on Percival.

Hannah's actions were troubling. She had booked a room for his grandfather, using a forbidden scent—unorthodox for Theeyae—that overwhelmed the senses and made one susceptible to influence. It resembled Sophia's Love Spell, Odalys explained.

Percival was aware of Hannah's arrest. "Grandpa told me," he said softly. "He called the police."

Even simple conversations with Odalys felt energizing. She radiated a vitality that attracted Percival.

"Hannah couldn't believe Grandpa reported her," he continued. "She probably thought he'd fall for her trick, using him to infiltrate the Stewart family."

"It seems the Bennett family won't be making a comeback this time," Odalys observed as she ate.

Percival poured her water, and they chatted happily. Odalys's attention fell on his bandaged leg.

"Does it still hurt?" she asked with concern.

A faint smile touched Percival's lips. "I'm fine. It's a minor injury; it'll heal in a couple of days." Secretly, he hoped for a slower recovery, an opportunity to garner Odalys's care. This thought startled him. He quickly dismissed such deviousness, resolving to protect her openly and honestly.

"Let's go," Odalys said. "Do you still have the blood from the hunting trap?"

Percival produced it. "I do," he replied.

Odalys explained, "Your blood is exceptionally pure; it enhances others' abilities. For example, it can increase someone's explosive power tenfold. Fortunately, we dealt with it; otherwise, the consequences would have been unimaginable. Oliver and Brandon could have used it to destroy the Stewart family. The location of Magic Entertainment boasts the best energy field in Crownridge. As long as my company stands, so will Crownridge. But if someone malicious obtained your blood, Magic Entertainment could be destroyed. Even my mentor, though protective, might not be able to stop them."

Percival's heart sank. Odalys was incredibly thorough. "Thankfully, you were there," he said.

Odalys smiled and stood, offering her hand. "Need help?"

Percival's gaze lingered on her delicate fingers. He took her hand, their touch sending a shiver through her. She wanted to pull away, but his grip tightened.

"I owe you a debt, Mrs. Stewart," Percival said huskily, smiling teasingly.

Odalys guided him toward the door, glancing back at the documents. "Aren't you taking those?"

"No need," he said. "Someone from the family will handle them." He had many unseen helpers, Callum being merely his visible assistant.

"You're so mysterious," Odalys said, intrigued.

Percival was always in control, ensuring everything was handled discreetly. He mentioned introducing her to his shadow operatives, but Odalys knew better; their identities were best kept secret.

Percival leaned against her as she helped him, their bodies close.

"Damn it," Orion muttered, watching them from afar. He hadn't expected to see Percival leaning on Odalys, looking as though he needed protection.
