Chapter 615
Odalys fell silent, a little helpless as she looked at Percival's large hands before her. She felt him approach from behind, his arms wrapping around her waist, lifting her against his chest. He turned her, so she faced him, her face buried in his strong chest, enveloped by the faint scent of mint.
"Don't look at them, but at me," Percival whispered in her ear.
His words made her blush. The thought of his usually serious demeanor… Odalys felt she was going crazy. She felt like he was flirting, but he couldn't. There was only one possibility: he didn't want her to see Sophia in her disheveled state.
"Percival!" Sophia's eyes widened in disbelief. Watching him shield Odalys, turn her, and press her against his chest, Sophia felt a surge of jealousy. She thought, I tried to seduce him before, and he almost beat me half to death and called the police! Now, Odalys did nothing, yet he held her in his arms. Her unwillingness intensified.
"Percival, help me! Odalys plotted against you and me. She's working with Henry to get rid of us!" Sophia quickly regained her composure, trying to get Percival to save her. However, she met his cold gaze. Her words died in her throat.
"How did she plot against you?" Percival asked in a cold, piercing voice.
Sophia froze under his gaze, seeing his large palm around Odalys's waist. His eyes, filled with contempt and disdain, shamed her. She recalled her popularity, the admiration, the wealthy men showering her with gifts. Facing his disdain, she felt awful. Is it because my reputation is ruined? Or is he angry that I'm leaning on Henry? she thought.
"She was trying to frame me, making you think I was seducing Henry," Sophia blurted out, believing it more with each word. "She's jealous! Afraid you wouldn't want her anymore, so she framed me. Since the variety show, my reputation is ruined, but she's risen to the top with the Stewart family's power. She just wants to use you! When she was at the Bennett Group, she slept with a lot of men!"
Henry's good impression of Sophia vanished. He knew she wasn't pure, but he hadn't realized she was so vicious, even slandering Odalys. His heart sank. He remembered the note Percival left that morning, asking him to use himself as bait to appease Sophia. He'd agreed, but now, hearing her words, he was shocked. She was trash, a liar.
Odalys was amused by Sophia's words. Turning from Percival's embrace, she looked at the disheveled Sophia, enjoying her embarrassment. Raising an eyebrow, she didn't defend herself, teasingly saying, "I don't know about sleeping with men, but you not only slept with someone, it was broadcast live. Still trying the same old trick?"
Sophia expected an anxious explanation, not this direct attack. Odalys, arms crossed, leaned into Percival, chin raised, looking at Sophia. "Is it exciting using Oliver's blood to stain your Love Spell?"
Sophia's face changed drastically. It was done in secret; only Henry knew. How did Odalys know?
"You're spying on me?" Sophia said incredulously.
"Do I need to spy? The Love Spell's effect is reduced, backfiring, causing chaos in your luck. Oliver's powerful, but he's been backlashed three times, seriously injured. His blood is useless, it'll backfire, blocking your seven orifices," Odalys calmly explained.
With each word, Sophia's face grew paler.
"My seven orifices blocked?" Sophia trembled, vaguely sensing her impatience had led to something bad.
Henry suddenly shook her off, throwing her from his arms. Sophia cried out as her head hit the bedside table.
Odalys said indifferently, "Your seven orifices are blocked, the Love Spell weakened. You need someone to unblock them, or your luck will be completely disrupted. You'll age faster, even die suddenly. Your only chance is to find the person who gave you the spell and maintained your luck. Otherwise, you can only wait for death."
Sophia's face darkened with every word.
"Odalys, are you trying to trick me again? How dare you still want to use me?" Sophia yelled frantically.
Percival's face turned terrifyingly cold. "Ms. Bennet, it seems you don't understand. Since you want to die, I'll fulfill your wish." He turned to a bodyguard. "Cut off her hands and drag her out to feed the dogs."
The bodyguard approached with a knife. Sophia's legs weakened with fear. "How dare you! Percival Stewart, you're hurting me for Odalys! Why? I was going to marry you for good luck! I should have been your wife, married into the Stewart family! Odalys stole my place and hurt me! She's driven me to a dead end, ruined me, and now wants to use magic to blame me!"
