Jayden nodded. โYes, it seems the perpetrator harbored a serious grudge against Dolores.โ
Elyse, seeing his concern, thought of Tracy. โYouโre not suggesting Tracyโs involved again, are you?โ
โNo,โ Jayden shook his head. โIโm just worried that if itโs traced back to her, the police might come to you.โ
โSince her supposed death, Iโve never seen her,โ Elyse replied. โI wouldnโt have anything to tell the police, even if they questioned me.โ
Jayden sighed. โLetโs hope this is resolved quickly.โ
The night wore on. Lowell, in his company office, worked late. Lately, heโd been exhausted, juggling work and hospital visits. Dolores had twice been in critical condition, keeping his anxiety high. Then, a soft click broke the silence.
