Jayden tried to hide his embarrassment, but Driscoll sighed helplessly. Jayden was sometimes too proud. Elyse barely registered Jayden's words, her gaze fixed on a tiny figure on the tableware. Then, surprising Jayden, she kissed him on the cheek.

"Oh my God!" The surrounding servants gasped excitedly. It was the couple's first public display of affection, dispelling rumors of discord and proving their love. Driscoll was momentarily stunned before turning to Jayden, noticing his nervous thumb-twirling. Driscoll laughed. "Looks like you two are quite the happy couple."

Embarrassed and shy, Elyse looked down, wondering about her impulsiveness. Curious about Jayden's reaction, she glanced at him, but his impassive face disappointed her. He seemed indifferent.

"Guys, enough," he said abruptly, placing a glass of juice before Elyse. "Let's eat."

Elyse nodded and ate. After lunch, they watched television in the living room. Jayden suddenly asked, "Do you have to participate in the second round of the selection process on Monday?"

Elyse nodded. "Yes. Why?"

Jayden peeled a grape and popped it into her mouth. "I'll be there on Monday."

Surprised, she asked, "You want to watch? Can your family members attend?"

"The second round differs from the first. For fairness, the organizers allow participants' family members. The results will be fair."

"Well, you can come," Elyse murmured, barely concealing her excitement.

Jayden nodded and ate another grape. Behind them, Driscoll watched. A maid beside him smiled. "It seems things are improving between them. You must be pleased."

Driscoll nodded, relieved. "When they get along, a baby might arrive sooner."

Just as Elyse enjoyed this moment, her phone rang. It was Mabel. Mabel's sobs filled the air. "Get to the hospital! Theo's going to kill me! Save me!"

Elyse's mood plummeted. "Why haven't you come home?"

"Are you going to save me or not? I'm your sister! Theo wants my heart!"

Elyse scoffed. "But you're quite fond of him, aren't you?"

"Elyse, if I die, I'm taking you with me! I'll drag you to hell!" The call ended abruptly, Elyse hearing footsteps just before the disconnect. Had Mabel truly offended Theo?

Biting her lip, Elyse hesitated, then turned to Jayden. "It sounds like Mabel's not lying. Should I go?"

Jayden clearly thought she shouldn't. Even married, Theo continued to haunt them. Frustrated, Jayden dropped the remote. "It's your call. If you're worried about Mabel, go. If you're worried," he quickly added, seeing her hesitation, "I can come with you." This reassured Elyse.

At the hospital, they went to the VIP ward Mabel had mentioned. The floor was unusually quiet, with no nurses at the station. Then, Mabel's desperate cries pierced the silence. "Let me go! I won't bother Theo anymore! Just let me go!" Her voice echoed down the corridor, explaining the nurses' absence.

They found Mabel on the floor, her face tear-streaked and smeared with mucus. She tried to grab Theo's pants, but his bodyguards pushed her away. Theo seemed to relax upon seeing Elyse, with Jayden close behind.

"There you are," he said softly.

Mabel, spotting Elyse, scrambled up, trying to reach her, but the bodyguards restrained her. "Help! Theo wants me dead! He wants my heart! I don't want to die!"
