Chapter 294:

On the second day, around noon, Elyse left the hospital and returned home. Shortly after settling in, Tobin arrived with a document.

“Sir, this is what you requested,” Tobin said, handing it to Jayden.

After reading it, Jayden was silent, then passed it to Elyse. Perplexed, she examined the bank account records and discovered that Mabel had transferred six hundred thousand dollars to Rebekah.

Clutching the statement, she exclaimed incredulously, “Does Mabel even know Rebekah? What arrangement is this?” Her voice trembled, though she didn’t notice.

After a pause, Jayden said, “It likely concerns your sheet music. Otherwise, it’s hard to explain why Mabel would give Rebekah six hundred thousand dollars.”

Elyse was stunned. After a long silence, she said, “I’ll contact my friends and ask for their help investigating Rebekah. Even if we don't find the truth, I can prove your innocence. Don't worry,” Jayden reassured her, pulling her into an embrace, his gaze filled with longing.

Lost in thought, Elyse didn't notice Jayden's arousal. When she finally looked up, she realized they were alone; Driscoll and Tobin had left, and the door was closed.

Pressing her hands against his chest, she avoided his intense gaze. Biting her lip, she murmured, “It’s daytime. This isn’t the time for intimacy.” The word "intimacy" made her intensely shy, and she lowered her head.

Jayden admired her shyness and pulled her closer. Nipping her ear, he murmured hoarsely, “I want you. Don’t you want me?”

Elyse blushed and quivered. “No. Let me go. I want to go to my bedroom.”

Jayden stopped her. “We could use the living room.”

“No way,” Elyse replied firmly.

Jayden grabbed her breasts, punishing her refusal. As she moaned, he warned, “If you refuse again, I’ll take you to the kitchen.”

Pain shot through her, but soon a strange solace replaced it. She still despised being held like this.

Their affection felt incomplete, yet their physical compatibility was undeniable. Seeing her attempt to pull away, Jayden took it as further disobedience. Slowly, he reached for her again, whispering, “Darling, you’re wet. Don’t try to escape.”

Embarrassed, Elyse retorted, “I’m not. Who’s wet?”

With a raised eyebrow, Jayden touched a sensitive spot.

Gradually, her resistance melted into soft moans. “Not there. Please.”

Perched on Jayden’s lap, she blushed, her clothes askew, tears welling in her eyes. Weakly, she leaned against him, giving him a pitiful look.

Jayden lowered his head; the sight intensified his desire. One thought consumed him: he had to have her now.

Licking his lips, Jayden said, “You want me, don’t you?”

Elyse’s mind went blank before grasping his meaning. With increased distress, she replied, “I don’t.”

“Stop denying it,” Jayden insisted.

Bewildered, Elyse watched as Jayden removed her blouse and threw it on the sofa before she could react. Shielding her breasts, she looked at him cautiously, trembling under his ardent gaze.

He lightly tapped her buttock and murmured, “Quickly remove your trousers yourself.”

“I refuse,” Elyse said, her face pale.

Jayden casually touched her buttock again. “Your trousers are wet now. If you refuse to take them off, I’ll tell everyone you wet yourself.”

Glancing at her trousers, Elyse felt mortified. “Do you have to humiliate me like this?” she asked, her voice laced with resentment. ... ... ...
