Chapter 369:

Theo despised Kaelyn's laughter; it always triggered a sense of panic, as if something beyond his control had happened. His eyes darkened with concern. "What did you do? Is Elyse okay? Tell me straight."

Kaelyn arched her eyebrows, her smugness evident. "If you're so curious, why don't you go to her place and see for yourself?"

Theo's heart skipped a beat. He flung open the car door, grabbed Kaelyn by the collar, and demanded, "What did you do? Did you hurt her?"

Kaelyn's eyes gleamed with madness. Grinning maniacally, she taunted, "If you're dying to know, why not check if Elyse is still home?"

Theo's fury threatened to consume him. Even as his grip tightened, Kaelyn remained unfazed, smirking defiantly.

Taking a deep breath, Theo released Kaelyn, yanked open the back door, and shoved her inside. After a coughing fit, Kaelyn raised an eyebrow. "So, you're banishing me to the back seat to save the front for Elyse?"

Theo's expression remained stoic as he buckled his seatbelt. "You catch on quickly."

Kaelyn suppressed a retort, her face betraying a fleeting sense of defeat before hardening into resentment. She loathed Elyse. After all her scheming, Elyse had chosen someone else. But Kaelyn couldn't understand why Theo still clung to Elyse. Focused on the road, Theo ignored Kaelyn's emotions.

Arriving at Jayden's villa, Theo unbuckled his seatbelt, rushed out of the car, and frantically rang the doorbell. The guard, not recognizing him, alerted Driscoll due to Theo's erratic behavior.

Reviewing surveillance footage, Driscoll immediately recognized Theo. Puzzled by the unexpected visit, he informed Jayden, who was engrossed in a TV show featuring Tracy. Jayden's eyelids grew heavy, but Driscoll's news snapped him to attention.

Elyse's expression soured. "What's he doing here? He's not welcome."

Jayden popped a grape into his mouth, a mischievous grin on his lips. "True, but since he's here, let's see what he wants." Glancing at Elyse, he asked, "Don't you want to talk to him?"

Nibbling a pear, Elyse mumbled, "I'll think about it."

Jayden didn't press, turning to Driscoll. "Let's go see what's up."

Driscoll nodded, accompanying Jayden. At the gate, they found Theo, bloodshot-eyed and agitated. He pounded on the gate, his frustration palpable. Kaelyn smirked behind him, radiating sarcasm and disdain.

Spotting Jayden, Kaelyn's smirk widened triumphantly, as if she'd anticipated Elyse's absence. Her smugness was striking. Jayden was baffled by her audacity.

Since rescuing Elyse, he'd been searching for clues about Kaelyn's backer, but she remained elusive. Twirling a ring on his thumb, Jayden concealed his emotions.

Theo's voice boomed. "Jayden, you're despicable. Let me in. I need to see Elyse."

Jayden's response was nonchalant. "Why should I? This isn't a public place."

Ignoring Jayden, Theo demanded, "Open up! I want to see Elyse!"

Jayden scoffed. "You think you can just waltz in and see my wife? Does this ex-boyfriend think he can demand to see her whenever he pleases?"
