Chapter 732:
Jayden, fresh from a shower, his hair still steaming, answered the door in a black bathrobe.
Seeing him, Aaryaโs eyes sparkled. Unable to contain herself, she invited him to spend the night. โHoney, arenโt you tempting me like this? Why donโt we get married tonight?โ she asked, smiling flirtatiously.
Jayden responded gently, โI donโt believe in rushing things. I want to make sure everything is perfect for our special day.โ
Aarya felt a pang of anxiety. โBut with such a boyfriend, how can I hold back?โ
Jaydenโs expression turned serious. โYou must.โ
Aarya felt disrespected; her invitation had been clear. She wanted him in her bed, yet he remained unmoved. Despite her frustration, she agreed on some level; their first time should be special, not rushed.
Conflicted, she considered her options. After a moment, she said, โThen just stay and talk. I canโt sleep.โ
Jayden agreed. โAlright, but youโll need to wait until I finish drying my hair.โ
Aaryaโs hands itched to touch him. โLet me help. As your girlfriend, I should.โ
Jayden raised an eyebrow, surveying Aarya. โBut you havenโt changed clothes, removed your makeup, or showered. You should take care of that while I finish.โ
Aaryaโs face clouded. โYou just donโt want me to help with your hair, do you?โ
โAm I not being clear?โ Jayden said gently but firmly. โAre you planning to go to bed without removing your makeup or showering?โ
Aarya shook her head. โNo, Iโll shower right away.โ
She hurried off, eager to prove she wasnโt unhygienic.
Jayden watched her leave and close the door.
An hour later, Aarya lay in bed, wrapped in a quilt, waiting for Jayden to read to her.
When he arrived, he carried a book and a cup of hot milk. Aarya gazed at the milk, her brow furrowing. โWhatโs this?โ she asked.
โI added honey. You have trouble sleeping, donโt you? Warm milk before bed can help,โ Jayden replied thoughtfully, handing her the cup.
Aarya felt a surge of warmth. How could someone be so perfect? He never forgot the little things.
Touched by his gentle care, a comforting warmth blossomed inside her. โIt shouldnโt be too hot; itโs just right,โ Jayden reassured her.
Aarya nodded and took a sip. The slightly sweet milk warmed her stomach and her heart. Sheโd never been treated with such tenderness. Her heart had slowly opened to Jayden over the past few days. In just a couple of days, heโd made her feel cared for as never before.
When Aarya paused, Jayden asked, curious, โWhy arenโt you drinking it? Donโt you like it?โ
Aarya was momentarily taken aback before shaking her head. โNo, itโs justโฆso good; I donโt want it to end.โ
