Chapter 779:
Elyse, reflecting on Jayden’s consistent detachment, realized her heart had been mourning their bond for some time. Resigned, she said, “Jayden, you’re involved with someone else. Let’s not complicate things. The Hudsons targeted me because of our closeness. If you keep your distance, I’ll be safe.”
Her gaze was empty, void of expectation or emotion—numb to any further pain.
Wrapping herself in the comforter, she insisted, her voice muffled, “Thank you for rescuing me, but I need to leave. Let’s part amicably.”
But Jayden seized her hand, his tone desperate and frantic. “It doesn’t end. There is no end for us. Your life is intertwined with mine.”
Elyse felt only pity. “You belong with Aarya, not me. Jayden, stop letting down the person who truly loves you. We should maintain our distance.”
As she tried to move away, he pulled her back onto the bed, making her dizzy and disoriented.
Looking into his intense eyes, she protested, “What are you doing? Being with me is betraying your girlfriend. That’s cheating.”
He sneered. “Cheating? I’m willing. You’re worth it. Even if you marry someone else, I will find you. You will always belong to me.”
Overwhelmed by his irrationality, Elyse pushed him away. “What is wrong with you? You can’t force yourself on me. I don’t love you anymore. We’re divorced.”
His anger flared. “How can you say you don’t love me? Are you out of your mind? Who allowed you to fall out of love with me? You’re going to love me forever. Understand?”
When Elyse didn’t respond, Jayden seized her hand, attempting to pull her close. Resisting, she yelled, her face contorted with anger, “I told you I don’t love you anymore! Don’t hug me! Leave my life and go back to your girlfriend!”
But Jayden’s anger surpassed hers. He pushed her onto the bed, roughly pulled up her clothes, and squeezed her breasts.
As she moaned in pain, his desire surged. He ignored her protests, kissing her aggressively, leaving hickeys.
To Elyse, Jayden seemed deranged. After multiple failed attempts to escape, she asked, her voice filled with grievance and frustration, “Why are you doing this? We’re divorced, and you have a new life. Why can’t you let me go?”
Jayden nibbled her nipple, making her shiver. He looked up, giving her a seductive smile.
Elyse was stunned.
Jayden didn’t explain. He got up, removed her underwear, forced her legs apart, and entered her, disregarding her resistance.
Elyse arched in pain, tears filling her eyes, her cheeks flushed. Seeing her agony, Jayden kissed her.
Feeling violated, Elyse cried. “Jayden Owen, you have a girlfriend! Don’t touch me. You are so sick; you make me feel dirty. Do you understand?”
