Chapter 898:

โ€œYouโ€™re scared, arenโ€™t you?โ€ Aarya asked, her voice dripping with mock sympathy. She relished watching Elyse squirm. Aarya had always found Elyse full of herself. She despised women who pretended to purity while hiding their true colors; they always ended up squirming and pleading before her. Aarya was determined to break Elyse.

โ€œDonโ€™t worry. Iโ€™ll take good care of you,โ€ Aarya said sweetly, smiling as she had when they first met.

Elyse recognized the fake smile and felt a chill run down her spine. Her heart sank.

Fifteen minutes later, the car arrived at a small, beautifully decorated villa, its entrance shrouded in plants. As Elyse stepped out, the two bodyguards seized her arms. Passing the plants, she caught a foul, rotting smell and held her breath until they were past.

Aarya smirked. โ€œIs it really that bad? Youโ€™ll be smelling worse soon.โ€

Elyseโ€™s expression darkened. โ€œYouโ€™re insane.โ€

Aarya sneered. โ€œWho are you to judge me? Worry about yourself.โ€

Elyse was dragged toward the garden, where a small door led to a basement. Her unease intensified with each step.

Standing at the basement door, Elyse already smelled the stench emanating from within. When the bodyguards opened it, the full force of the disgusting odor hit her, making her gag.

Aarya watched with amusement, tilting her head. โ€œWe havenโ€™t even started, and youโ€™re already feeling sick?โ€

Elyse glared, her voice trembling with anger. โ€œHow many innocent people have you killed?โ€

โ€œInnocent?โ€ Aarya scoffed. โ€œAnyone who crosses me deserves it. They brought it on themselves.โ€ With a twisted smile, she grabbed Elyseโ€™s collar and whispered, โ€œElyse, youโ€™ll end up just like them.โ€ Then, she shoved Elyse down the stairs.

Elyse tumbled helplessly, hitting the steps before crashing onto the cold basement floor. The stench of blood and decay filled the air.

The basement was pitch-black, except for the faint light from the top of the stairs. Elyse remained still, terrified of the darkness.

Aaryaโ€™s high heels echoed as she slowly descended, arms crossed, watching Elyse struggle to rise. Aarya envisioned Elyse on her knees, begging for mercy, her arrogance shattered.
