Chapter 902:
Jayden frowned. The environment clearly repulsed Elyse, understandably so. She was accustomed to brightness and had never encountered such gruesome and frightening circumstances.
Jayden instructed the bodyguard, โTake her away. Iโll catch up later.โ The bodyguard nodded and led Elyse away.
Once Elyse was out of earshot, Jayden smiled at Aarya. โNow, itโs just us. Where should I begin?โ
Aarya perceived his murderous intent in his eyes. Despite her wound, she moved slowly. โNo, you canโt kill me. My father is still out there. He wonโt forgive you. Youโll suffer severe repercussions.โ
Jayden smiled and nodded. โIโm aware your father wonโt overlook this. Especially if I kill his only child; heโd be left with no heir.โ
Aarya stopped, surprised. โDid he tell you that?โ
Jayden approached calmly. โNo. Years ago, a weak assassin tried to kill Charlie but failed. The assassin injured Charlie, leaving him unable to have more children.โ
Aaryaโs eyes widened. โImpossible! How could you know? Were you the one who injured him?โ
Jayden nodded. โYes. You should be grateful. If not for me, you wouldnโt be his only child, the apple of his eye. All his love would have been shared.โ
Aarya finally understood Jaydenโs danger. She should never have crossed him.
Desperate to flee, she tried to move, but the pain was too much. Each step sent a jolt through her body, forcing her to gasp. Her legs gave way, and she collapsed.
Aarya looked up to see Jayden pulling out a dagger. The blade gleamed in her terrified eyes as she scrambled away.
Jayden chuckled. โYou tormented others, but now the tables have turned. I thought youโd last longer. Didnโt expect you to break so easily.โ
On the verge of a breakdown, Aarya begged, โPlease, donโt kill me!โ
But her life or death was no longer her choice.
Meanwhile, Elyse sat outside the villaโs gate, far from the stench, wrapped in a blanket. Her mind reeled from the blood-soaked basement. She sat dazed and numb.
After dealing with Aarya, Jayden sent a few messages. Stepping outside, he saw Elyseโs fragile form huddled in the cold. She looked frail, even bundled up. . . .
