Chapter 127
“Riley!” Everyone except Edward, whose face had turned ashen and who was too furious to speak, screamed. Phyllis and the others jumped from their chairs. “Rosalie, are you crazy? He’s your brother!” Phyllis screeched.
Relic, with one foot still planted on Riley’s face, turned her head to look at the people at the dining table. Her cold, menacing eyes gleamed with a hint of murderous intent, sending a chill down their spines. They had every reason to believe that if anyone approached her right now, Rosalie might rip their heads off.
After a glance, Rosalie shifted her focus back to Riley and stepped onto his face, squatting down like a bully. “I’m not only willing to hit you, but I can also kill you. Believe it or not?” Rosalie’s voice, like a demon’s whisper, was both pleasant and terrifying; any resistance would risk crushing his face.
Riley was surprised by Rosalie’s amazing skill and strength. Pinned beneath her foot, he was unable to move. He hadn’t even seen her move; in seconds, he was subdued. Pride, hatred, and embarrassment warred in his mind, turning his face from red to white, then dark.
Only after delivering her threat did Rosalie slowly stand, but she didn’t remove her foot from Riley’s face. The demonic voice continued, “I know you don’t speak well, so I suggest that in the future, if you can’t speak properly in front of me, you’d better keep your mouth shut. Do you understand?”
When Julian entered, the first thing he heard was his soon-to-be-ex-wife’s arrogant and domineering remark. He raised an eyebrow, just in time to see her foot on Riley’s face as she delivered her warning.
