Chapter 80

Julian’s eyes narrowed, dark storms brewing within. He leaned closer, his lips moving slightly, his voice low and dangerous. “Oops, too late,” he murmured. It was useless. With that, he carried Rosalie toward the stairs. No matter how much she struggled, it was futile.

She screamed, “Julian! Put me down! You bastard!” The more she thrashed, the tighter his grip became. She was completely trapped, unable to move.

The servants in the living room were stunned. They couldn't tell if the two were arguing or engaging in aggressive foreplay. All they could do was stand frozen, watching Julian carry Rosalie upstairs.

The bedroom door slammed open. Rosalie, still struggling, barely had time to react before Julian threw her onto the bed. The moment she tried to sit up, he was on top of her—fast, decisive, without hesitation.

He was furious. No one had ever tested his patience like she did. “Julian—mmph!” Her words were cut short by his lips crashing down on hers.

Rosalie froze. Her eyes widened with shock, anger momentarily yielding to disbelief. Even after two lifetimes as his wife, she had never been this close to him. In her past life, he had never touched her, let alone kissed her.

Her mind blanked. Her body went rigid. She forgot to resist, completely caught off guard. But the second Julian parted her lips, reality returned. Without hesitation, she bit down hard, her teeth sinking into his tongue, merciless and unrelenting. The metallic taste of blood filled her mouth.

Julian grunted in pain, his grip loosening enough for her to escape. The moment he released her, she retreated to the farthest corner of the bed, putting as much distance between them as possible.
