Chapter 313

The door swung open.

Dante was visibly surprised when he saw Lisette standing at the door.

โ€œWhat are you doing here?โ€ His brow furrowed, his voice tinged with irritation.

โ€œMr. Lopez, Iโ€™m here to discuss a potential collaboration. Arenโ€™t you going to invite me in? Itโ€™s quite chilly out here, and I bet itโ€™s warm inside,โ€ Lisette said, already attempting to push her way into the room.

She gave a sly smile, adjusted her spaghetti strap top, and licked her lips in what she must have thought was a seductive manner.

โ€œAre you insane? Dressed like that and barging into someoneโ€™s place?โ€ Danteโ€™s voice was as cold as ice, and he made no move to step aside.

โ€œMr. Lopez, donโ€™t you ever get lonely?โ€ she cooed. โ€œCalliopeโ€™s married. She wonโ€™t betray Silas for you, and you know who Silas is, right? But me, Iโ€™m single. Whatever Calliope did for you, I can too!โ€

โ€œMr. Lopez, if you agree to partner with us, Iโ€™ll offer my body to you. Mr. Lopez, arenโ€™t you tempted?โ€

Lisette leaned closer, blowing a playful breath toward Danteโ€™s neck.

Dante wiped his neck with one hand, looking at Lisette with utter disdain. โ€œWhatโ€™s wrong with you? Thatโ€™s disgusting.โ€

Lisette was momentarily stunned.

โ€œWait. Can you repeat what you just said?โ€ Dante asked, sliding his hand into his pocket, his eyes fixed on her.

Lisette grinned, confident in her allure. She knew no man could turn away a woman, especially one who wasnโ€™t hard on the eyes.

She repeated her offer, word for word.

โ€œSo, youโ€™re saying youโ€™ll sell your body to me if I agree to work with your company? Youโ€™d sleep with me and let me do as I please?โ€

Danteโ€™s eyes narrowed.

โ€œYes, however you want, Iโ€™ll be game,โ€ Lisette purred, licking her lips and crinkling her nose. โ€œI can play to your preferences!โ€

Dante suddenly laughed.

โ€œMr. Lopez, arenโ€™t you going to let me in?โ€

โ€œArenโ€™t you eager?โ€ she prodded.

โ€œLisette, are you a call girl?โ€

โ€œDonโ€™t be so harsh. I prefer to think of it as being adaptable,โ€ Lisette chuckled. โ€œWeโ€™re adults. Itโ€™s just a bit of fun, right? No harm done. I make you happy, and I get what I want!โ€

โ€œDonโ€™t you think youโ€™re overestimating yourself?โ€ Dante crossed his arms, leaning against the door frame. โ€œDo you think Iโ€™m so desperate to go for someone like you?โ€

โ€œWhat?โ€ Lisette detected a shift and a lack of interest.

Dante clearly wasnโ€™t swayed by her charms!

โ€œSorry, but someone like youโ€ฆ if youโ€™re hitting on me, youโ€™ve probably tried it on others, maybe a dozen. Thatโ€™s too filthy for my taste.โ€

โ€œSo, get out!โ€ Danteโ€™s voice was a command, dripping with contempt.

โ€œWhat did you say?โ€ Lisette was incredulous. โ€œYou! Who are you to judge me?โ€

โ€œIโ€™m quite particular about my company.โ€ Dante pulled out his phone and made a quick call.

Minutes later, security arrived and unceremoniously removed Lisette. She stood seething behind a pillar, her face burning with disbelief and anger.

โ€œThat damn Dante!โ€

She kicked the pillar in frustration, only to regret it as pain shot through her foot.

As she hopped around, she spotted Calliope approaching and instinctively ducked behind the pillar, hoping to stay out of sight.
