Chapter 352

โ€œOf course.โ€

Silas stood at the entrance, his voice cutting through the tension like a cold breeze. No one had noticed when he arrived, but now there he was, arms crossed and eyes firmly locked on Calliope.

โ€œMy dear, thereโ€™s no need to forgive anyone,โ€ he announced, his voice unwavering.

The room went silent, everyone turning to look at the imposing figure of Silas. His presence was electrifying, his confidence palpable. He glanced dismissively at Horatio and his companions before focusing his attention on Calliope once more.

โ€œSweetheart, how would you like to deal with the Jewell family?โ€ he asked, a sly smile playing on his lips. โ€œIf you want them bankrupt, just say the word.โ€

Calliope was taken aback by Silasโ€™s sudden appearance. He always had that commanding aura, the kind that made everyone else fade into the background. His smile, though slight, seemed to light up the entire room.

As whispers filled the air, it was clear that many had doubted the relationship between Silas and Calliope. But seeing him stand there, speaking such words, left little room for doubt.

โ€œSilas just called Calliope โ€˜sweetheartโ€™!โ€ someone murmured, sending a ripple of surprise through the crowd.

Silas approached Calliope with measured steps, his tailored suit fitting him like a glove, emphasizing his regal bearing. He was like a figure sculpted from marble, flawless and distinct from everyone else.

Horatio and his friends seemed to shrink back, visibly unsettled.

Valerian, unable to hold back, shouted at Calliope, โ€œJust because you faced a little slight, you want to ruin the Jewell family? Maybe we were right about you all along!โ€

Calliope merely cast a cool glance in Valerianโ€™s direction.

โ€œMy wife doesnโ€™t need your approval,โ€ Silas replied, his tone dismissive. โ€œI love her, and thatโ€™s enough. Who cares about the Jewell family?โ€

Silas took Calliopeโ€™s hand, his eyes softening as he looked at her.

โ€œShe doesnโ€™t need the world, because I am her world,โ€ he declared. โ€œIf the Jewell family wonโ€™t protect her, then I will.โ€

A collective gasp rippled through the room.

โ€œOh my god!โ€

โ€œThatโ€™s so powerful! I love it!โ€

โ€œCalliope is really lucky. Silas is a force to be reckoned with!โ€

โ€œHeโ€™s amazing. I adore him.โ€

โ€œCalliope and Silas are such a perfect matchโ€“both so outstanding!โ€

โ€œValerianโ€™s a joke, blaming Calliope. What did she even do wrong?โ€

The room was abuzz with chatter, all eyes now critical of the Jewell family. Horatio and his group looked visibly uncomfortable, especially Lisette. Her knees seemed to buckle under the pressure, and she appeared on the verge of a breakdown.

She couldnโ€™t believe Calliope had so much evidence against her, nor that Silas would protect Calliope so fiercely. What kind of deal did they have? Surely, Silas couldnโ€™t have real feelings for Calliope!

Just then, several police officers entered the room, their presence commanding immediate attention.

โ€œWho is Lisette?โ€ one of them inquired, looking around.

A finger pointed in her direction.

Lisette turned, shock written all over her face as she saw the officers advancing.

โ€œLisette, youโ€™re under arrest for slandering national leaders and officials. Please come with us.โ€

โ€œNo, it wasnโ€™t me!โ€ Lisette protested, panic setting in as she tried to back away, but two officers swiftly restrained her, twisting her arms behind her back and escorting her out.

โ€œLisette!โ€ Valerian shouted, rushing after her. At the door, he turned back, eyes blazing with anger as he glared at Calliope.
